Ferrari offers up to 15-year warranties on its sports cars

Italian supercar brand, Ferrari, offers its customers a warranty of up to 15-years on its sports cars. The Maranello-based carmaker introduced the extended warranty sometime back, calling it 'Power15'.

As per the company, all Ferrari models come with a standard 3-year warranty. The company also offers a 12-year extended warranty period, which can be further extended by 12 months and renewed annually for up to 3 years.

The extended warranty is said to offer coverage for all of the vehicle's main mechanical components for the entire 15-year period. Some of the mechanical components covered under warranty include the engine, gearbox, PTU, suspension & steering.

Ferrari is also said to offer an extended warranty on both new and pre-owned models. Even cars with expired coverage or gaps in their cover are said to be eligible for the extended warranty offer.

The Italian carmaker aims to make the 'Power15' extended warranty offer the most flexible and comprehensive package in the segment.

Amazing! shows how much faith they have in their product. Especially, by including pre-owned and out of warranty cars.

Will this apply globally or is it restricted to some regions? A Ferrari in India vs Iceland will have completely different elements to deal with.

Would be interesting to know what is the cost breakup for this extended warranty.

Good revenue generator considering most of these cars are garaged and probably driven only a few thousand km every year.

They will not offer a high mileage warranty. My guess is they'd top it off at 100k km.

Spectacular! Sure shows the confidence the brand has in its products & that it knows how to take care of its premium customers. But you know what else is cool? If you buy a new Ferrari, servicing & maintenance for 7 years is free (related link). There is a reason that Ferrari is 'Ferrari'.

From what I read over on ferrarichat.com (great community of F-Car owners), the 458 is surprisingly reliable, as is the F430 which comes highly recommended as a used buy.

So, a 3-year/unlimited km warranty? Or is there a limit on the mileage?

Although it is a testament to their manufacturing quality, I wonder if any of the new owners will take it, given most won't keep their Ferraris for 15 years.

On the other hand, good for those buying the used ones ! Would be interesting to read more about the terms and conditions on the pre-owned options.

That's a good news actually, BUT this makes to think in a different perspective
1) Ferrari now has a proven track of record and confident enough to assure warranty for 15 years
2) Nothing new was made or improved in recent past to assure this quality or confidence, for so many years Ferrari had no confidence on their design but to gain it only with market feedback after so many years

OTOH looking at the profit they make (comparatively) they are not going to lose anything bigger by proving this extended warranty

It's mainly due to Jaguar and Land rovers and not the Indian cars.

If you go through the list, Jaguar and Land Rover are listed separately at #8

I missed it . Then it's really interesting how they are in the top three.
