2023 BMW 3 Series facelift exterior fully exposed ahead of debut:

BMW's upcoming 3 Series facelift has leaked online. These images sourced from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China reveal all the changes that have been made to the car.



The China-spec 3 Series features a redesigned dual-tone front bumper with a large hexagonal air dam. The radiator grille on the 320Li has vertical slats, while the 330Li gets a gloss black kidney grille with silver inserts. The latter also appears to be equipped with BMW's Laser lights.



Moving to the rear of the car, the L-shaped tail lamps have been carried over from the old car. However, the rear bumper has been redesigned and now features a large grey insert. The 320Li gets chrome exhaust tips, while the 330Li has gloss black exhausts and ORVMs, a boot lip spoiler and dual-tone alloy wheels. Both variants have a sunroof.



In India, the 3 Series Gran Limousine is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 255 BHP and 400 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 188 BHP and 400 Nm. The same engines are likely to be carried over onto the updated 3 Series when it arrives at our shores.

That rear bumper insert looks really weird .
Nice alloys. Hope they get them to India too.
Signature DRLs are now inverted. Running out of ideas.
At least they've not introduced the rabbit ear grill

They missed out on an opportunity to put a grill like this which would justify a 5L price hike. Headlight looks terrible.. gone are the days of classy corona rings !

This is properly hideous. What is going on with BMWs design lately. They seem adamant to destroy every model line with terrible designs
I hope this is a china specific update and other markets will have a more subtle and toned-down look .

Design seems a bit forced like the latest 2 series does. Doesn't look as good as the current G20 M sport variant. But i would take this over luxury line and sports variants any day of the week.

This resembles the 2 series a lot.
BMW has taken a good looking design and made it worse. Seems like they are quite into catering to the Chinese market these days. Hopefully they can look into having a separate design to cater to the Chinese market sensibilities.

This might be one of those rare occasions where the pre-facelift car will be a more attractive proposition for potential buyers.

The rear is ugly IMO. I had one in my family and always felt very underwhelming.
Also i hope they dont ditch the true blue banker color for this one. I will pass on this one.
I hope to upgrade in 2023 and let go of my Elantra

Rear looks something missing or fell off. Front looks cheap. Hyundai designs are getting better and BMW is going the old Hyundai way.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I liked the original G20 headlights. The kinks were unique and aggressive. This LCI is more in line with the 5 headlights making the 3 a smaller 5.
