MG One teased
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/international-automotive-scene/239458-mg-one-teased.html)
MG Motors has released teaser images of its new SUV, the MG One ahead of the global debut on July 30, 2021.
The powertrain option will be a 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor from the Hector. This engine might be offered with a 180hp tune and with manual as well as automatic transmissions.
MG says that the One is based on its new global architecture, SIGMA, which is a modular platform. This platform also supports electric architecture, something that MG is very keen on popularising.
Not a fan of MG as a brand in general but that one is a looker. Kudos to MG design team. I can see some resemblances with latest Aston Martins.
This one looks nice, hopefully MG will get this to India. Though price wise, I presume it might sit above the hector.
May be in order to emphasise it’s British lineage, MG is incorporating the Aston Martin influenced front grill! But anyway it looks really good!
I love it. Even though bits and pieces of the car - hood, grille, lights look heavily inspired from several other known brands, but I LOVE how the car ended up having unique personality instead of a blatant rip off.
I can't help but notice that the tail-lights look remarkably similar to the Mazda CX-5.

I think it's a typo "4579-wide". You can delete this as I don't how to pass on this message.
I hope this retuned engine makes its way to Hector and upcoming Astor (ZS petrol). Hector petrol currently is underpowered given poor power to weight ratio. Astor with such engine will become true king of compact /Mid SUV.
Even though the lines and creases make the car aggresive looking and quite modern to look at with those lights and grille, I just can't help but feel that this design is going to become unforgettable within a few years, it just doesn't scratch the itch for me in terms of its own identity and there are too many aggressive and sporty looking crossovers and SUVs all over the globe and the front end looks like a rip-off of the Aston Martin DBX, I wonder how AM will take it considering they have had instances of other manufacturers trying to copy their designs before.
The front part in some angles, it is very Infiniti QX like. Or Magnite like.
MG ONE teasers to its interiors, gets triple screen.

the new car will have a fairly simple cockpit design. With the "triple screen" design, can hardly see the traditional physical buttons on the center console. At the same time, can also see that the new car's door panels, seats and other details will be integrated into the fluorescent yellow design, which can create a more active cockpit atmosphere.

In addition, the new car will adopt a triple-screen design with a "broken line" layout. There is an angle between the central control screen and the LCD instrument, which can make the driver feel a stronger sense of surround. In addition, with the support of many bright black trims and silver trims, the sense of class inside the new car will be improved again.

The steering wheel has a flat design at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, which has a good visual experience

the new car will be equipped with a 15C4E 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 181 horsepower (133 kilowatts).

Looks pretty nice, this will sell well once launched in India, I presume maybe sometime next year.
That three screen looks awesome, and the steering looks a departure as well from normal steering we are used to. I wonder what functionality will the third screen add.

In this article it is mentioned that MG One will be manufactured in China and India. Though the article is a bit old now, but it does indicate that MG (assuming once it gets next round of funding) will introduce MG One in 2023. The dimensions, tech inside and engine are all segment leading for the price tag of 17k USD (14 Lakhs). Muvh better than Astor!
