The Jeep Renegade is all set to receive an update very soon as spy pics of the compact SUV have surfaced online.



As seen from the images, the Jeep Renegade SUV can be seen wrapped in camouflage, placed at the back of a vehicle transporter. While the details are scarce, the upcoming Jeep Renegade is expected to receive subtle updates to its front fascia, including a revised front grille, tweaked headlamp cluster and updated front bumpers.



The upgrades are expected to continue on to the side and rear as well. The facelift model could receive a set of updated LED tail lights and rear bumpers, along with a newly-designed set of alloy wheels.



On the inside, the Renegade facelift is expected to feature an updated dashboard and cabin layout. It could also feature a new steering wheel similar to the one seen on the new Compass model. Jeep could introduce a number of other subtle changes, along with a few additional features as well.

Mechanically, the 2022 Jeep Renegade is expected to remain unchanged, carrying forward the same engine and transmission options as the current model.

The Jeep Renegade is currently the brand's entry-level offering in the lineup. The facelift version is expected to make its debut either later this year or early next year in international markets.

I've always wondered why Jeep did not introduce the Renegade as their lower cost entry to the brand after the initial success of the Jeep.
Now seems like a great time as ever to get it here, premium product premium pricing, square against the market created by the Creta and now revitalised by the German twins.

Renegade 2022 (restyled) will lose diesel engine and will have only turbo flex option.

Jeep Renegade 2022 will undergo visual retouch and will have change in motorization. Diesel engine will say goodbye and SUV will have only the 1.0 Turbo Flex

The retouched Jeep Renegade 2022 will lose its versions with 2.0 Turbo diesel engine and reduced 4×4 traction system. The SUV will only have engine 1.0 Turbo GSE Flex, always connected to the CVT gearbox. Not to lose off-road status, the SUV will have a simpler traction system.

The restyled Jeep Renegade will have the same 1.0 Turbo GSE Flex engine that will debut in the coming weeks in the Fiat Pulse SUV. The propellant is already in production at the Betim (MG) plant. The Jeep SUV will be the second Model of Stellantis to rely on the thruster.

Still without official numbers, the Turbo 1.0 engine will have power in the 130 hp and torque around 21 kgfm. The exchange rate will be Aisin's CVT that simulates seven virtual gears.

Because of the new turbo engine and its cooling system, the Renegade will have a redesigned front bumper. The main change will be at the bottom of the piece. Depending on the version, the SUV will have new alloy wheel options.

The nameplate lodged in the central part of the bumper will also change places and will be at the lower part of the piece. In this part, the bumper is more advanced, our guess is that the change is for the new turbo engine cooling systems.

The second air intake with beehive elements will be on top of the nameplate. Despite the camouflage, it is noted that the auxiliary headlamps will have a horizontal design.

Inside, the changes are still in studies, but the steering wheel of the new Compass is already confirmed and the multimedia center may be floating as in the brother.

Stellantis has teased a facelifted Renegade for Brazil that will be unveiled early next year.

The Brazilian-spec Renegade will get the new locally-produced 1.3-liter T270 turbo-flex engine with a power output of 180 hp (petrol) or 185 hp (ethanol) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. The new mill will be combined with either a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, or a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

Jeep Renegade 2023 finally revealed:


- Diesel powertrain axed
-Jeep Renegade 2023 will be sold only with flex engine.
-The transmission is automatic six-speed for the 4×2 models, while the 4×4 has a nine-speed automatic transmission.
-The cabin has changed little. It received digital instrument panel, new frame in multimedia center and new center console with induction charger and new materials.

Saw the 2022 Renegade in Europe last month and was very pleased with it. Cute, with a solid build quality and quite compact dimensions.

I would love it to be launched here as a little brother to Compass.

180 BHP in this will make it a pocket rocket.
If only our roads and traffic were conducive to these kinds of engines. Right now even my 103BHP Maruti has more power than needed for most of my driving.
