I, for one, am eagerly waiting for the next gen BR-V ( launched in Indonesia and Thailand . Give me the hybrid version of that car and I would put down my money on the table.

Honda has made it clear that the US and Canadian market 2023 HR-V will ride on the same platform as the 11th generation Civic. That car has a wheelbase that’s about five inches longer than the outgoing HR-V so expect more space in both directions as Honda says it’ll be wider too without getting into specific numbers.

With that information in mind, it’s easy to surmise that Honda will use any number of engines from the Civic for the new HR-V. The base Civic engine already makes more power from it’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit at 158-hp than the 2022 HR-V. If Honda’s more adventurous, we could also see the compact model’s 180-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged four making an appearance too.

Honda is not showing any part of the new HR-V's interior.

Honda has released a few more photos of the new HR-V for North America giving us a glimpse of its cargo space and the lower center console. According to the carmaker, the interior, that has yet to be revealed, will follow the design direction of the 11th-gen Civic. Honda added that it will also feature a more comfortable back seat and larger cargo area

New Honda HR-V Will Be Powered By 2.0-Liter Engine.

The California Air Resource Board’s (CARB) certification database has been updated and now features data that suggests that the 2023 Honda HR-V will be powered by a 2.0-liter engine.

it means that the new HR-V will get 0.2 liters of extra displacement over the outgoing model, which is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 141 hp (105 kW/143 PS) and 127 lb-ft (172 Nm) of torque.

the crossover will sit on the same platform as the Civic and, in that application, Honda’s 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine makes 158 hp (118 kW/160 PS) and 138 lb-ft (187 Nm) of torque. That would amount to a 12 percent increase in horsepower and an 8.5 percent increase in torque over the existing HR-V.

2023 Honda ZR-V announced as nNew C-Segment SUV for Europe.



The high-riding model hits the European market in 2023 and slots between the HR-V and CR-V in the brand’s portfolio.

The only piece of information currently available is that the ZR-V uses a hybrid powertrain and it will join the HR-V and the next-generation CR-V, both featuring electrified engines under the hood.

With the launch of the ZR-V in Europe, Honda will have just a single model without any electrification. The upcoming new Civic Type R will become the marque’s last purely combustion-powered vehicle on the continent, where it will use a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with more than 300 horsepower.
