Desperate measures

Finally Ford and GM are getting their backsides on the hotseats and donning the thinking caps.

Their marketers have been working hard and these articles prove just that.

It is known that Ford has topped J.D. Power and now they are aggressively selling car with ads.

I guess just aggressive advertising and marketing campaigns wont help Ford and GM, they also need better car's and service to fight Japanese dominance.

Their answer is to do in US what they do in India and other markets, i.e use GM-DAT to full potential. I dont think both Ford and GM have any interesting offering in the segments where the japanese rock.

Ford's really going all out to minimise losses. Afterall, they don't want to become another "Chrysler".
Looks like they're also planning to sell off loss making Jaguar and Land Rover.

Did any of you check out the interiors of Lincoln MKX? It shames even the best of lexus and Beemers.

Ford is doing now what they should have done years ago. And GM is still doing everything which looks more jumbled and confusing than a proper strategy.

Ford's sedan did get good reviews compared to accord's and camry's but all their adverts only compared it to GM's and chryslers. were they bling enough to not see that accords and camry's has taken everything from them?
