In a world where every new car (especially at the expensive end of the spectrum) is becoming electric Pagani has taken the wraps of it's third generation hypercar - the Utopia, powered by a V12 motor and available with a manual transmission.

Moreover, there is no hybrid or electric powertrain in this replacement for the Huayra.

The Pagani V12 engine, a 6 liter biturbo specially built by Mercedes-AMG for Pagani, is the result of enormous development work: it delivers 864 bhp
and, above. all, a prodigious 1100Nm of. torque. It revs higher and is both more flexible and more powerful while meeting the most stringent emission regulations, including those in force in California.

For the transmission the choice was philosophical one. It would not be a dual-clutch transmission which is efficient, but heavy and robs the driver of the ability to set the pace of the car’s acceleration. Instead, Pagani turned to the most prestigious motorsport and high performance automotive transmission. manufacturer, Xtrac, to develop the quickest shifting gearbox with helical gears possible. It is compact, light and transversely mounted for an optimized center of gravity.

Moreover, inorder to best match the wishes expressed by Pagani enthusiasts, it's aficionados, a virtual manual would not be acceptable so a real seven-speed manual transmission has been developed. It was not an easy task to design such a gearbox with synchronizer rings and a mechanism able to handle 1100Nm of torque adequate for a pure manual application, but it was an essential requirement for Utopia.

The first series of Utopia coupes, which have already been assigned to privileged enthusiasts, will be built in 99 units.

There are enough design elements influenced by the Zonda and Huayra.

I do remember the top gear episode where Richard Hammond mentions that Pagani knows how to make pin up poster cars and after so many years of that episode being aired it looks like they still are the go to guys if you want something that is mind-blowing, futuristic yet classic with insane numbers and specs and all this while being supremely beautiful pieces of art.

I am in LOVE

Look at her. Classy yet modern. I wish there are more commuter vehicles in this style. Royal enfield Interceptor is another example and speaks why people love classy yet modern. However, this is another level of love and passion towards car design. Huracio is a gift.
