BMW 135i coupe -- entire car exposed and confirmed 135i!! - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (M1 / 135i / Coupe / Cabrio) (BMW E82 E88 130i 135i)
this car reminds me of an e46 for some reason. And factory turbo to boot

Why the 1 series when you can buy a 335i with factory fitted twin turbos and 300 hp (most probably it got more than 300 horses)

Power to weight!

BMW 1 series is a Hatch, which will be cheaper than the 3 series.

It has amazing curves and lines. Looks peppy and fast.
When it was first introducted years back.. I was thinking it would be a good seller in India.

The 2007- 135i: is 2979 cc and churns out 306hp????????????
Power to weight!
Power to weight!

By my rough calculations should be around 26-28Ls Quite inviting actually

Not as Yummy as a M3 though

I think it doesnt have that many more than 300bhp. however i guess it wont cost 42000 USD the 1 series. It'll mostly be close to 30,000USD.

I meant that the 335Ci got more than 300 horses, not the 135. Some feel that BMW didn't use the full potention of the engine as it would put it in direct competetion with M3. All speculation ofcourse, but not without basis.

And a 335Ci with half decent options costs well over $45,000. I don't understand why leather is an option and not standard on a car costing $40 k plus. I will settle for a used 328Ci, same looks a lil less power and easy on the pocket.

Anyway, are the 1 series sold in US?

Oh about that sorry I misread that you said its used in the 135. So i corrected my post immediately.

No the 1 series isnt sold here. For some reason everyone likes big-*** cars here. And the frickin GTI costs 30K which itself is unaffordable for what you get for that price. Its annoying coz I love that car but not so much that i'd shell out 30K for a dam 2litre. I guess no one would want a 35K bmw either if its only 1-series.

Not yet and not the hatch. A coupe and convertible version that is coming out shortly will be sold here. Pricing wise It will be slotted in the small gap between the CooperS and the 328. No fours only sixes. I cant wait !!

I dont think the 1 series will make it to India. They took so long to get the 3 & Xs in. Although, they have a setup in the conutry now, I think they wouldn't want to burn their hands in the already super hot hatch mkt in India.

I was responding to the Honda Civic Mugen RR thread and talking about power to weight ratio and power to money ratio as well. I now think that i'd buy this car instead of an EVO or STi. Atleast the insurance would be low on the beemer.
and more power and probably the same performance.

well in that case there's YUMMIER stuff than the M3, the 2008 M3 which'll set u back by 60K or the M5 which'll set u back by 80K.
Atleast the 1 is cheaper and has ALMOST the same power as the E46 M3 (which has 343 some horses right?) and I don't think we'll have to pay the 1000$ GAS GUZZLER tax. Wat y'all think?

So whats the Gas Guzzler tax.. Tax in the US for anything that does not have a stipulated MPG? (miles per gallon)

Also whats more Yummier contest is a whole new thread altogether. everyone has a yummier car, but the $$ constraint should be factored in .. if not we would be ending with which is better the Veyron, Konnegegg (whatever its spelt) or the Mclaren F1 or a bunch of other super/hyper cars

..doesn't just end at that. the lesser mpg your car can manage, the higher the Gas Guzzler tax you pay.

you're already getting ripped off at the pump, anyways because you have a low mileage car.
