Another one bites the dust. This time its Chrysler thats going to rebrand Chery cars for sale in the US and elsewhere.

What about other chinese manufacturers (Geely and Brilliance) who want to get into the US ? Will they find a partner in troubled Ford and GM respectively?

I really cant justify why it upsets me so much...I suppose it just means that Cherys gotten its act together and is probably turning out mildly decent stuff...

its old news but from whatever i remember

1. This deal was made before chrysler was sold.

2. The deal was made to sell cherry cars as a downmarket range.

3. The deal was supposed to be reevaluated by the new owners but nothing new has surfaced yet.

cherry had done rounds at various autoshows before it bagged the deal.

OR

Chrysler cant figure any other ways of continuing 'profitably' in the business that going down the market with chinese (Mostly VFM) products.
