Exactly. And since we only know the starting price and number of units that will be produced sold I have mentioned the words ‘starting’ and ‘+’ in my comment.

Re: Ferrari F80, the successor to LaFerrari

I am sure if that Black part near the headlamps was not there, this car would have looked so much better.

Apart from that, it is a Ferrari. Pure eye candy to me.

So, there you go. Even folk that can afford these Multi-million $ cars think similarly about the design.

Re: Ferrari F80, the successor to LaFerrari

The LaFerrari was a tough act to follow. But it doesn't mean Ferrari made beautiful cars after that. The Daytona SP3, for example, looks more like a flagship Ferrari than the F80. With only 599 produced, it remains more exclusive than the F80 as well.

I remeber how Ferrari didn't want to put on a big spoiler and ruin the design of Enzo and they followed it up in the LaFerrari. But the F50 like spoiler is back which looks so out of place on a 21st century flagship Ferrari. It doesn't articulate as much as many of it's competitors as well.

A common comment that showed up under the F80 posts was that it looks as if it's made with Lego blocks. Couldn't agree more. In pursuit of incorporating yesteryear design elements and aero parts, it looks like an amalgamation of different cars. Not cohesive at all. Head-on, it looks more like a fatter Lamborghini Countach with a factory fitted bug deflector. Those tiny inlets between the headlights, and the three step ladder between them, downright ugly! McLaren W1 looks way cleaner which used to be the Ferrari's forte.

Matt Watson got it spot on. Ferrari didn't want to upset the billionaires who ordered their special one off cars like SP8 roadster and the KC23 by make the F80 prettier than those.

Re: Ferrari F80, the successor to LaFerrari

This is wonderful. One of the very few cars to have come out in the last 3-4 years which looks good at the first sight. I Really love how they managed to capture the past with the present. If you take a look closely it resembles an F50. The rear "buttresses", as ford calls them, scream F50 to me. The rear end as a whole screams F50 to me. The front resembles an F40 and a Testarossa, if you will. Some people think it looks too flashy but after some time it will all settle in. It will grow onto everyone. V6 is a bummer.

Re: Ferrari F80, the successor to LaFerrari

Well the powerplant used in this car is an absolute monster of a unit despite being a V6 but the F80 sounds so boring and un-Ferrari like to the ears and the black bar is such an eyesore to look at, I can't buy one in a million years but I hope Ferrari offers the option to remove that black bar, the car will look a lot better IMHO.

It's not a bad looking car.
Here's a "cleaned up" version.
