Suzuki has launched a special edition of the Celerio in Thailand. It’s called the Celerio Classic Edition and it costs approximately Rs 11.62 lakh.



The Celerio Classic Edition gets quite a few updates even by “special edition” standards. It is based on the previous generation model and comes with a bespoke body kit. It includes a black bumper and fender extensions, side skirts and a rear bumper with quad exhaust tips, which obviously are fake.



The Celerio Classic Edition is finished in a retro paint job with a gold roof, a gold stripe and red ORVMs. However, the standout feature is the chrome wheel hub caps. The interior of the car looks pretty stock, except for the dual-tone beige and brown seat upholstery.



The Celerio Classic Edition was showcased at the 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). It is solely aimed at the Thai market and we aren’t complaining.

Looks like they got hold of someone from Karol Bagh market. Why Suzuki? Classic car and 4 (fake) exhaust tips on bumper don’t go well together. And that red ORVM!

I can understand launching the older generation car as a "Classic Edition" which is done by automakers such as Mahindra(Scorpio Calssic) in India and RAM(1500 Classic) abroad.This one seems to be a weird stock clearance exercise.Also,why is it priced at Rs.11.62 lakhs in a market where cars are cheaper than India.I just cannot comprehend the target market for this thing

I am happy that we do not have to see this in India. Kudos to MSIL for bringing in all new Celerio, before even thinking of such a 'Classic' idea!

The price seems to be interesting, launched at INR 11.62Lacks. I checked the price of a Toyota Corolla in Thailand and thats 879K Baht (~INR 21Lakhs). so effectively a Celerio in Thailand costs ~50% of a Corolla. In India, a Celerio would cost ~20% of a Corolla.

Except for those wheels and to a lesser extent, the seat colours, wonder what is so Retro in this Classic edition? Or do they mean classic as in previous gen?

As mentioned by other members it is a HIDEOUS Karol Bagh Modified version by Maruti errrr Sorry Suzuki.

Reminds me of Maruti Zen Classic which was a disaster at sales. Instead of making classic look elegant and making people want to buy it, Maruti managed to make it look like a local mod job.
