2024 Hyundai Sonata Gets a Striking Refresh Inside and Out.

The powertrain details of the 2024 Hyundai SONATA have not been disclosed. The vehicle also gets a panoramic curved display for the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch AVN infotainment system.

I think the full-width LED light strip on the hood will become standard on all future Hyundai line-up.

This styling looks fantastic on the larger Sonata! It's not as polarizing as the Verna's...or perhaps, the Verna just got us used to the new styling and that initial "design shock" is behind us.

I don't think the Sonata will launch in India as sedan sales have tanked. The segment saw many exits (Accord, Passat, old Sonata, Teana etc.) and the ones that remain (Camry, Superb) do very low numbers. Hyundai anyway won't support the Sonata (no test-drives, no display car, uninterested showroom staff, no marketing), so really, no point.

Love the design, especially the front end, minus the light bar. It looks mean and should look killer fully blacked out.

Nope, not us getting used to the styling. These designs are largely made for the full size sedans, so it will look good on them. IMHO, it is when they try to incorporate that design philosophy in smaller cars, especially subcompact cars, that it starts to get awkward and disproportionate. Especially nowadays they don't want to compromise on interior space and overall safety. That is why most of the times, driving a CSUV feels more easier than driving a subcompact/compact sedan, but a proper sized sedan will always feel easier to drive inspite of the size and we won't have the ingress/egress issues that we face in cheaper sedans.

Same reason why I refrained from commenting on the Verna's styling in the Verna thread when every comments was going through the roller coaster theme with each leaked/unveil pics. Cause for me nothing is going to beat Hyundai trying to incorporate their design philosophy in the Aura.

Why can't Hyundai do the same with Sonata as they have done with Verna? Get the latest gen with good engines and features, price it lesser than competition and spend on good marketing. If Toyota can sell Camry, I'm sure Accord and Sonata can sell too. They just have to understand how to do it. Even if the sedan market is decreasing, there will always be a market for really good products in my opinion.

These guys should learn from BYD who have sold a decent number of EVs without anyone knowing the brand!

The new design language looks sportier on the Sonata.

Sonata being the more 'professional' of the Hyundai sedans, a more conservative look would've suited more to attract potential buyers.

Too bad it's not going to come to India. With warriors falling day-by-day (Civic, Elantra, now the Octavia), it's sad to see the segment dying out.
