Land Rover is set to debut the sportiest version of the Range Rover Sport called the 'SV', on May 31, 2023. The carmaker has also released an official teaser showcasing a pre-production prototype.



The Range Rover Sport SV replaces the SVR as the most powerful version of Land Rover's flagship SUV. It is expected to use a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid sourced from BMW. This engine currently powers the X5 and X6 M Competition models. It produces 606 BHP and 750 Nm.

As you would expect, the Range Rover Sport SV will feature a sporty exterior. The teaser reveals an aggressive-looking front bumper with large vents, massive alloy wheels shod with low-profile rubber and quad exhausts at the back.

Land Rover plans to build the Range Rover Sport SV in limited numbers. It will compete with the likes of the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX 707.

Drove my friends previous Gen RRS SVR tuned to 650 Bhp.
That engine, also BMW based, is quite a Brute.

Hope to drive the new RRS SV some day.

Has Land Rover phased out the 5.0 Supercharged V8? Or is that available only on the flagship Range Rover?

I only see a 4.4 Twin Turbo V8 now in the 2023 range. no 5.0 Supercharged V8 offered. Atleast in Europe as I see it.

Somebody from the Range Rover forum I am part of has been invite to purchase a "strictly limited edition launch specification" of the new SVR (Range Rover Sport SV) and asked to sign an NDA to confirm allocation + an invitation to a private launch event.

Essentially the NDA lists that the NDA signee does not discuss any confidentiality about the vehicle, nor should he/she take any photographs or notes related to the car...

The rumor mill on a Facebook SVR group is that this vehicle is limited to only 650 units.
