Hyundai Tucson to get fresh updates; spied testing for the first time

Hyundai is said to be working on a new Tucson SUV for the global markets. A surprising move, considering the current-gen Tucson arrived just last year.

Ahead of its arrival, the first set of spy images of the refreshed Hyundai Tucson has leaked online. The spy images showcase a heavily camouflaged SUV, revealing little to no details of the changes and updates expected. However, reports suggest that the refreshed Tucson could get a new design for the front grille mesh. While the headlights and tail lights could get minor revisions, the changes themselves, aren't visible amidst the heavy camouflage. What can be seen though, are the alloy wheels and the dual exhaust tips at the rear. Inside, the refreshed Hyundai Tucson could get a number of additional features and tech.

In terms of engines, the refreshed Tucson is expected to carry forward the same powertrain options as the current iterations. Internationally, the Hyundai Tucson is available with petrol, diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. There is also an N-Line version of the SUV.

Thanks RahulNagaraj for the update. The current (4th) gen Tuscon was released in India last year. However, it was first seen in 2019 and has been in production globally since 2020. I hope HMI reduces the lag in India release with the next iteration.
