In my opinion, assuming that the Roxor won’t be street legal, the Roxor will have a tough time ahead. If Roxor is branded as an All-terrain vehicle, it has to lower the sticker price by at least $5000, as the more refined and powerful ATVs from the companies such as Polaris, Kawasaki, and Can-am have a wide variety of lineups starting from $15,000’s with Roof and windshields which provide better rollover safety. Alternatively if M&M is promoting Roxor as a work vehicle, it has to compare with Gators from John Deere and can-am which has Gas/Diesel/ Electric drive trains and comes with a towing capacity up to 4000 lbs. Alternatively, if it is branded as a farm truck, on any day, the farmers in the United States can register a used truck such as Ram3500 with farm plates and get certain financial benefits out of it and can use it on the farm and off the farm too.

Man that is a hideous thing. Good for Mahindra if it sells. I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole though.
The front gives some vibes of the old Nissan Jonga IMHO.

I see someone here assuming the Roxor ain't street legal. Ofcourse officially it isn't, because it isn't crash rated for US roads. Many of the indian vehicles would meet the same fate at present. But the Roxor even in its "unsafe" form serves a purpose quite well, one that was previously handled by post-war agricultural jeeps. 5.38:1 axle ratio is for a reason.

Now another one compared such a vehicle as the roxor with some XUV. Now can this XUV fill the role of an agricultural mule, or a recreational beater, or as a pure offroader? No.

A basic Roxor is still going in the 16-22K range. And those are the ones that sell the most. They're selling all they could make. The folks who buy it are a certain kind who see the exact utility of it. They claim no other vehicle in production there satisfies it. Well what can we say, it's the users themselves saying that. Got to have some sense in it.

Roxor enthusiasts fb group is an active group. Same with "roxor" keyword on youtube. It's a good place to put many assumptions to rest. One will see how exactly they're used on a daily basis, and the 120hp tune most of them are having. It's a point anywhere and go vehicle for them, with an "unofficial" tow rating, which as per them just gets broken-in by the time the ATVs they were used to kicks the bucket.

Wouldn't "right to repair" act as a significant advantage for M&M here? Assume the Roxor is easy to open and repair on your own as compared to the John Deere products with more tech.

It is a nice side-by-side. Earlier, this guy did at 1300 mile trip on it. He has it well cronichled on YouTube on his channel JessyWayne

And many more instances of making it road legal in many states, like Utah.

AFAIK The right to repair is for the farm equipment with patented features.( As of July 2023, Deere and Co allowed farmers / Ranchers to work on their machines except alerting the software and overriding emission controls). Between 2019-2020, I used to work with my university landscaping department and they used to fix only gators and trucks but not tractors. Interestingly the Maintenance shop is allowed to work on the Kubota tractor but not on the New Holland.
