Tuning World, at Bodensee, is sort of the European Version of SEMA, though probably on a much smaller scale. Nevertheless, it is very interesting what the Tuner Market has to offer, everything from basic suspension mods, ECU tuning, to entire engine swaps, body kits, suspension lift kits for Off-Roaders, Air Suspension kits, Body Wraps, LED lighting kits, Sound Systems, you name it. Previously I had visited the show in 2017 and then now in 2024. The layout of the show is there are a number of Halls, sort of vaguely segregated into JDM, Euro and American and then one main Arena, where the Drift challenges happen. This is what we were greeted with, when we entered the Exhibition space:

The love for everything Automotive is very evident from the myriad vehicles that assemble at such shows. Some are crazy, with cloth wheels, entire carbon fibre interiors, vivid lighting etc, some are very subtle, the sleeper cars, with probably 1000bhp under the hood, just looking stock.

The Amis:

After all the stalls, we headed towards the Drift Arena, which my son was very excited about. He had never seen some drift action live and this was his chance to see some professionals at work. The energy with the crowd was at a different level and the Drifters made sure everybody got their money's worth. The drift sessions were scheduled for later and till then everybody could view the vehicles on track and interact with the drivers:

Then began the Drift Wars, some were like Time Attacks, some were the Tandem Drift events, altogether extreme adrenaline and excitement

We had a great time visiting Tuning World, Bodensee and look forward to other such events.

Seems like a good show especially with the drift events et al.
However, this seems on par with the 100's of regional Tuner Auto Shows in the US and not exactly SEMA which is certainly a Grand Show but only for the Industry and not for General visitors.
