Is that valid just in India? I got a 2019 X3 here in Canada last year where the owner had opted for the unlimited wireless Carplay subscription, which transferred over to me when I got the car. Although I did buy a Certified Pre-owned, don't know if that makes a difference

Re: BMW M's adaptive suspension feature offered via subscription; Costs 210 euros per year

Life is getting way too complicated with tons of subscriptions starting from streaming devices, delivery (food / grocery) , associations (AA) to now vehicle ownership. In future it will just be a pain to recall all these and there will be a start up selling super app to manage all subscriptions.

On this topic : Shame on you BMW for being Pound foolish. Car buying is itself very complicated with tons of things to choose and now This !!

Best part is, if your suspension fails, you will be paying the extra repair price required for adaptive suspension even though you can’t use it.

If someone can figure out how to enable the locked features through an ECU flash, it would be hilarious though. Can’t wait to buy a 518i and then flash it into an M5 competition.

Stop buying anything which has subscription, if there is a viable alternative (most of the time there is). I moved out of Adobe many years ago. I would never buy a car which has a subscription thing. It’s is then better to hire a car.

If this continues, real estate thugs will also include subscription : septic tanks, other critical things.
