Carrera GT Crashed- another supercar pranged!

Check these pics out.













Apparently the guy pranged the RHS of the car while he tried to move out of a corner in 2nd gear and hit a pole.

Disc Ruptured?

the "spokes" of that alloy look unhurt, but what happened to that disc, its ruptured!

This is really a sad story . Yesterday I saw the banged Enzo and this morning a CGT damn.. I'm having bad mornings these days.

Yeah thats true....but look at the rim.. its TOTALLED.... so im guessing the impact on the rim moved the whole wheel&hub&disc which either smaked up with the caliper or something else.

Those are Porsche ceramic brakes. Those things alone cost nearly 10% in terms of total value of the car at the least. The rim shows signs of bending, of course anticipated since its a side impact.

As for hazarding a guess regarding the cost of repairing the thing, i am happy not to own the car. Otherwise i'd have been in a coffin by now. Courtesy: heart attack.

its so sad
the drivers license must be confiscated -for life
in reality, what happens to such cars ?
i mean are they junked or do they get repaired ?
can somone pl. tell me how many CGT's does porsche plan to produce ?

I hardly think they would junk a 350k car. And the number your looking for I think is 1500. SLR 3500, Enzo 399, McLaren F1 75 road going and 10(?) the 'special editions' = LM, GTR etc.
