Below are some pictures of a chrome plated SLR taken at the Mall of the Emirates here in Dubai. I received them on my email today. Thought of putting it up here.

PS: Mods, could not find an already existing thread for this, hence started a new one. If one exists somewhere, please do merge it.

I think he should keep the tint on the glasses black.

have no words to describe this. This is called class / taste whatever. . .very few times it happens when an exotic is modded it looks good, this is an exception. very very good.

No, that would defeat the purpose of the chrome plating IMHO.

It looks pretty rad as it is. How was this achieved? Did they replace the panels all around? Or just sand the existing paint and replace it with silver paint?

This really is as bling as it can get. Looks awesome. Wheels should have been black or tints should have been black.

Imagine having this here and then a beggar coming up to the car with that dirty cloth and trying to clean the car for a buck. Scratches Scratches

It does'nt seems to be a chrome job, rather it is silver.
I have got a picture of an Audi A8 made up of real silver, and yes it was also in dubai.
I will search the picture in my email and post it later.
On a personal note I find it too garish for my liking.

i heard the audi a8 belongs to dubai rally driver bin suleyam, not sure.
there is also a bugatti veyron chrome painted in Abu Dhabi, it also featured in Top Gear magzine. Below are some pictures
