Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. Any idea about specs? That MPV if launched here, could be an alternative to the Innova. Looks bigger than the Innova though.
Isn't that a Palio in the background?

Wonderful! These look classy.
I used a Buick Century for 3 months (rented) in US back in year 2000. Memories:
- The best NVH levels that I have experienced so far in any self-driven vehicle
- My jaw dropped once I looked under the huge hood - it was as if I was looking at some factory (no idea of the power plant specs)
- The heater used to be very effective and quick which was a boon in the north-east winter
- Pick up was amazing (though auto tranny)
- Handled well on the freeways (more so due to the heavy build , I think the suspensions were not that hard)

-ves:
- Fuel guzzler
- it is an 'old man's vehicle' - no sporty looks

man two points worth noting

1- there is aboslutly no rear leg space for the back seaters
2- the park avenue is the same as the holden commodore or the chevloret caprice sold in the middle east

The specs were all printed in Mandarin. (Chinese)
I think the Innova is taller than this but the length of these both seems to be the same.

Yes, that's a Palio. There are a lot of Palios here.

Nice pics. Are you informing us that the US car makers are marketing their cars in China and that to from office to office? No wonder GM is losing the ground copeting Toyota.

Is your office in Shanghai? The cars seem to be registered in some other province.

It sure does. There are SRVs here also, similar to what we have in India.

I can give you an idea about the prices here in China. The approximate ex-showroom prices of:
HRV: Rs.6-7 lakhs
Excelle: Rs.7.25-9 lakhs
Lacrosse: Starts from Rs.12 lakhs

Maybe you are right. But it’s just a marketing strategy I believe, followed by most of the car manufacturers . Here in China, the competition is stiff between GM and VW, now Toyota is also in the race. I have also seen many other car manufacturers hang around in the campus frequently, marketing their cars.

I’m in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The plates reflect the same.

Funny thing is that none of these cars are really Buicks.
1.That minivan is an old discontinued GM product that was sold under different names here in the US(including chevy and and Pontiac but NOT Buick!)
2.Park Anevue is a rebadged Holden(statesman I think)
3.Lacrosse is a Daewoo I think ,soon to be sold as a Chevy and probably Suzuki
4.Excelle obviously is another Daewoo (optra) and HRV is the hatch version of the same car( SRV in India?)Sold as Suzuki here in US.

Park Avenue and Lacrosse sold in NA are entirely different cars though not necessarily better( that Holden is way better).Buick I guess has an upmarket image in China(Chairman Mao used to have one?).Buick brand apparently sold more cars in China last year than the US!
