Yes, all these cars like the VX220, Speedster, Opel GT, Solstice, Sky, Daewoo G2K something... are all based on the "Kappa" platform which is why they resemble a lot.

Frankly, aah78, the build quality of materials was good. Accurate panel gaps, matching panels provided a great feel..

I am dead sure that the Sky is capable enough to handle the V8. I really wish that Saturn, as a brand, picks up some pace and GM starts concentrating on it as well. The Astra has been launched for the first time in America under the Saturn badge.

Good. Don't buy it. Its a good car and has good looks but I would rather spend $31K on a brand new MX-5 or S-2000 or a 350z or a slightly used Z4. All of which have comparable horse power and better handling reputations and history, not to mention better resale value. What more, they give almost same mileage {with 350z and Z4 being V6).

At around $31,000 the Sky Turbo comes fully equipped with everything and is the top end model (Red Line) whereas others have their base models start at this price. This car comes from the very successful platform on which many cars worldwide are based. As I said earlier, the only reason we do not see many of these on the road is because, it is a Saturn. I really wish they do sell. It really is a nice little sports car.

Sounded a little biased. Why not buy a good looking car which is backed by GM platform being used across the world. No doubt MX-5 is great, but didn't S2000 sells for about 20000+ $$ a couple of years ago. They used to call it the cheapest 2 litre sports car for that distinction. Now 350z is a little minx which makes a lot of purr & demands attention like a cat from owner (not technically or maintenance wise but I am now going OT).

Anyway, Stratos, is BMW 1-Series any good?
