With traditional craft of bamboo used on its door, the one-seater car runs about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) with combination of lithium-ion battery and capacitor after recharging by wall outlet at home. | ![]() Props for ingenuity but what good is 10 kilometers on one charge. I would rather use a cycle. Maybe they can make one of those out of wood too. |

| ![]() This is a waste if you ask me. Only 10 kms on one charge and what if it catches fire? I admire the Japanese and their ingenuity but this is downright stupid. |

| ![]() The idea is to be innovative and create something different... i doubt the creator intended it for practical use. |

| ![]() Is that a prototype or simply a concept? Is the whole car made of bamboo? Because there are pukka bicycles being made where the frame is made by bamboo sticks. Last edited by Sparkie : 20th June 2008 at 20:12. Reason: Detail on bamboo cycle |
