Yup. Love the tail lamps ! Should be one heck of a buy!
the car looks sleeker, and the boot is inspired from 7series
i dont think these tail lamps are final at all. they are temp. for sure. look around the tail. there is more arches to be filled
i think they have the permanant tail lamp fixed, what you see around it might be some cosmetic fitting over it which they havent placed on the test mule
As the other guys also mentioned, there's still a lot of work left to be done on the body design, even elsewhere.
But it's definitely a step in the right direction for the 5-Series and the M5.
Agree with you jesal. Those tail lamps are not final. The car looks sleeker but I simply love the current 5 especially those eagle eyes. Cant see it being replaced by anything lesser. Praying...

I too love the current eagle eyes. But I think the eyes will surely be changed.
Hope they don't change it.
From the looks of it, I think right now they are only interested in engine-powertrain testing. They are probably coming out with a new V10 or a smaller V8 for the 5-series.
They'll worry about the interiors and sheet metal later.
Some update:
New 2010 BMW 5 Series Rendered
The article:

Several spy shots are all over the internet, depicting the next BMW 5 Series which is due for unveiling in 2010 and goes on sale in most world markets in 2011. Our artist has put CGI and Photoshop together to create an agile rendering of the 5 Series using the concept CS as a basis.
Several existing technologies will feature in the 5 Series, including further improved iDrive, FlexRay processing, the electro-magnetic handbrake, HUD, as well as Active Steering. Bigger, wider and longer than current 5, new car grows in size but not by much. BMW’s new double-clutch M-DCT gearbox with 7 speeds is part of the package. Currently the ‘box can handle close to 600Nm in torque.
Key engines will be the 3.0-litre twin turbo petrol, 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel, the hybrid and the 4.4-litre twin turbo V8. Three brand new engines will also feature, introducing themselves through the 5 and include a new compact super diesel making well over 700Nm. Later in 2013 the mighty M5 should be seen boasting over 450kW under the hood. What is unclear at this point is if that power will come force-fed or by natural means. BMW spokespersons have said the company does not rule out turbocharged M cars, "as long as they keep to the traditions of what an M car stands for". Be assured though that whatever it is, it does not yet exist and will debut as a brand new engine.

A couple of more images.
The car is now looking over agressive. Moreover the headlight portion looks a bit like new Lancer.
The shoulder specially above the rear wheel and boot looks nice.
