New Convertible Infiniti G37/Nissan Skyline

Source: Japan Car Blog | G37/Skyline Photos

They've only revealed one photo, but that'll be enough for our expert critics for the time being. I personally find the rear to be way too buldgy. It looks like some ugly american convertible (pontiac g6) right now. The straight lines of the 3 series are much much cleaner.

Another 3-Series, C class competitor. I heard even Hyundai is thinking of launching a Genesis convertible. Looks like everyone's looking to score some sales in that segment.

on the car and bike show they did show the G37 coupe and i like the looks of it so i am sure the convertible would look nice too. the picture of the convertible right now does not do justice enough to make a judgement. lets wait for more pictures and a prototype to hit the roads.

I really don't understand. Why use the skyline badge? This is just like the so called new "NSX". :(

Amien, the "Shyline" Badge as you know it has been used since years. The GT-R as we know in various avatars i.e. R32,33,34,35 are the most powerfull versions of the Skyline Range. The skyline used to come in a Four Door Sedan Version too. There is one in Bombay too. It participated in the Speed Run this year.

@Cyrus43
Ah, i see, so that's why they dropped the skyline moniker on the new GTR. I must admit that since the GTR's (R32/33/34) were by far the most famous models, they limited my knowledge of the other models :( . It just occured to me that skylines have been in production since 1957, and only the high performance models had the GTR badge, you explained it well, thanks.
On a side note, is it possible to get any information on that 4 door sedan skyline @ the speed run?
