Hey, are not patents about disclosure? All patents are publicly accessible; so what is the big deal?

Was the Patent being done or was it patented. If it is pantented, then you can see the sketches through net as they have to put in the details of the product. This is the global rule.

It does look a lot like the SX4. The front grille is so Audi while the rear seems to be inspired by the 5 series. For Suzuki's big sedan to click, they need to get the refinement & quality in order.

The front looks like a Jetta to me. The rear as GTO mentioned looks like a 5 series.

It does look far different from the concept vehicle shown in the expo, Will the patent drawings be like these without any dimensions or such things ?

They copied 3-series front and 5-series rear and more from plenty of other cars.

Now, what the hell do they want to patent?

Wow, Suzuki, Great!
Nothing looks like copied to me. This is one of the best looking car from Suzuki after Swift.
The entire car design is original and not copied. The front girlle is looking great and also from the rear it looks fantastic.

But on the negative side, the wheel base ( read rear seat space ) looks not as large as the present standard in the market Suzuki is going to plant this car in. Also, its slightly on the higher side, but as with SX4, this car must be good handler.

Suzuki is now definitely going in right direction.

EDIT : One more link.
Leaked Suzuki Kizashi Drawings Reveal Final Design Shape

The article:
Quote:
The Suzuki Kizashi began its road to production at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year with its first concept that looked a long way from production form was unveiled, soon after a second model turned up at the Tokyo show before a third and final concept was unveiled at the new York Auto Show this year.

Full production was promptly confirmed by the Japanese automaker and we have been getting plenty of opportunity to see the model on the road with numerous sightings of prototypes caught by our army of spy photographers albeit with the black clad camouflage covering the important design details. These details may well have been revealed to us after these basic sketches leaked out from the European Trademark Office. Strictly speaking they haven't been leaked as these images are available to the public, but surely Suzuki are not gonna like automotive websites reporting on the new mid-size sedan before its official unveiling.

The concept was received very well by the world's media but its was always going to be toned down come production time and these drawings confirm this fact, although the overall design gets an initial thumbs up from this office.
