Aston Martin V12 Vantage...

The Aston MartinV12 Vantage has arrived. Evolving the styling and engineering exercise Aston unveiled in 2007 and set for debut at Geneva Motor Show, they claim the V12 Vantage is the most driver-focused car the automaker has ever produced.

Power is provided by a 6.0 liters V12 making 510 hp at 6500 rpm and 420 lb-ft of torque at 5750 rpm. The Vantage's new-found grunt is sent through a carbon fiber drive shafto a rear-mounted six-speed manual gearbox. The benefits of a transmission oil cooler and a new rear diffuser helps to cool the limited slip differential. Aston claims a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 190 mph.

Independent double wishbone are mounted fore and aft, while six-piston calipers squeezing 398mm (15.67 inches) of carbon ceramic discs at the front and four piston units holding 360 mm (14.17 inches) ceramic rotors the rear. The front wheels measure 19x9 inches and 19x11 inches-rearing, each wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa rubber sized 255/35 and 295/30, respectively.

Inside, carbon fiber is all over the place, though slight, seats, carbon Kevlar, threshold plates and personalized premium audio system are optional.

The V12 Vantage offers spring rates 80% stiffer at the front and 45% stiffer in the rear, allowing the coupe to hit up to 1.3 lateral g's. The V12 mill weighs nearly 200 pounds more than the V8, but after the Aston got done tweaking the Vantage, the overall increase was only 110 pounds. Pricing has not been announced but we hope that each of the 1000 Aston V12 plans to produce benefits for a princely sum.

You can see where the Artega Gt took its styling from.

Artega's a cross between a CGT, Vantage and a LP640 front skirting.

As for the V12 Vantage...the bonnet makes me lol.

Forget the Artega, the Aston is a car worth dying for.
I just love Aston. IMO they make the most beautiful car.
Only if I had enough money.
a DB9 is the one which i would have gone for.

Perfect. It's the definitive Aston Martin. IMO, it's the most beautiful car ever built. Enough power and pace for long distance touring and a great sound. Also, the best badge to boot - spells class and taste.
I was expecting more from the V12 Vantage. Considering the Vantage is supposed to be a hardcore performance car, 510bhp from a 6 litre V12 sounds just too little. That's the same as the 5L V8 in the Jag XFR or the V10 in the BMW M5 / M6. The 6.2L V8 in the Corvette ZR-1 makes 640bhp.

has the lines, but definitely not the most beautiful aston. fussy details, and not enough oomph from the engine.
also forgive the crass observation, but i feel that the rims, that 'm sure are of exquisite workmanship, look ALOT like a those LG/League wheels. Think i saw a ANHC with a similar design from aura.
ranked in order of beauty (in my opinion)
1. DB 5
2. DB 9
3. DBS ( yes i know its a db9 after a workout, but it looks way classier than this)

Me too! So do those cheap looking alloys which are found on Indian hatches and entry-level sedans.

The alloys ruin the looks. Otherwise, it looks fab. But I'm starting to get tired of the standard Aston MArtin designs now. EACH AND EVERY car looks exactly the same.

This car is automotive sex. 'nuff said!

(I do agree, though, that 510 from that engine is a bit of a let down)

Aston Martin has anyday better class.Every car stands out and seeks admiration.
During my stay in UK,this was one car which turned every ones eyes.
One more distinction is the colour scheme,i havent seen any other colour except Silver in various variants.ofc PSP features a white Aston Convertible in the Test Drive game.
