One of the most respected trade magazines, Autoweek, has just released results based on user polls. Here they are

Best Luxury Car:
FIRST: Audi A8 L
SECOND: Lexus LS 430
THIRD: Maybach 57/62

Best People Mover:
FIRST: Honda Odyssey
SECOND: Dodge Magnum
THIRD: Toyota Sienna

Best Economy Car:
FIRST: Mazda 3
SECOND: Toyota Prius
THIRD: Honda Civic

Best First Car:
FIRST: Honda Civic
SECOND: Mazda 3
THIRD: Ford Focus

Best SUV:
FIRST: Volkswagen Touareg
SECOND: Land Rover Range Rover
THIRD: Porsche Cayenne

Best Truck:
FIRST: Ford F-150 (7 Years in a row)
SECOND: Nissan Titan
THIRD: Dodge Ram

Best Sedan:
FIRST: Chrysler 300C
SECOND: BMW 3 Series
THIRD: Cadillac CTS

Best Coupe:
FIRST: Infiniti G35
SECOND: BMW 6 Series
THIRD: BMW 3 Series

Best Sports car:
FIRST: Chevrolet Corvette
SECOND: Ford GT
THIRD: Porsche Carrera GT


BMW had dominated this list in 2003, with 4 awards. Not the case this year with Bangles cars. National pride also seems to have played a role in the Chevy Corvette scoring over the Carrera GT.

No wonder every truck launched in america has such an inferiority complex!
Every single ad you see for a truck will mention how their truck is better than the F-150 in some aspect..but to no avail

Yepp...i was thinking the same thing... but then im sure "pricing" was on of the majorly weighted criteria...

The same reason why NHC won the Autocar 'Car of the year' over the Merc SL500 here in India.

VW are on a roll! Audi beats both lexus and maybach! Toureg beats Cayenne! great performance from Europe's biggest car maker.
