New Ford Fiesta Sedan

Ford Brazil has launched the Fiesta in the sedan bodystyle. Engine consists of the new BI-Fuel ROCAM Flex 1.6L with power output ranging from 77 to 83KW (how much bhp is that?). A 1.0L zetec is also avaliable which can be equipped with a super charger. the Boot has 487 liters of space.

77kW is about 104bhp and 83kW is about 112bhp

Can this be the next Ford Ikon? I think so. I hope Ford gets it soon enough, and i think they might. The current price strategy might be an indication of the impending need to launch a new Ikon. The earliest i see them getting it should be end 2005, but at best early to mid-2006.

Would make sense since the Fusion is derived from this. It could be Ford's strategy, use the fusion as a guinea pig to cream the initial market, ensure it performs as per customer requirements and roll out the new Ikon when all is okay. The Ikon is more crucial than the Fusion.

Looks like a mini Mondeo to me . I think ford willl replace the ikon with this one in the future.
