I feel it looks like CLS now, especially the front portion, headlamps.

The car looks good. Especially the silver one with the AMG kit. It would have looked better if the wheel arches were a bit less flared. Also there are some hints of the Bangled 7 too. Especially in the interior and the boot.

The front headlamps remind me of the Mondeo (especially in the one with the maroon car).

Looks horrible from the side and do i see a slight BMW 6 series in the boot design?

I like the present one better. This car has lost it's charm. They've tried to make a luxury car look cool, and have ended up spoiling it.

This S Class looks good when viewed from the front and the rear - nice and muscular. The side on view isn't that great - especially the boot which looks too short and heavy compared to the rest of the car. I also don't like those flared wheel archs. The interiors look very good. World's best car? Time will tell.

Naahh! aint looking good for me.....Like I said earlier in another post for the new S, they are trying to make it more contemporary and sporty looking, whereas an S isnt supposed to be that way.

The current S looks better but the early 90's S class were the best looking for me, majestic & imposing at the same time!

Sacrilege! What were these guys thinking when they designed this?? Side-view looks almost Camry-esque, M-style mirrors and the interiors have a 7-series style 'double hump'. I don't believe this ****. Think the Koreans have a hand in this.

PS. Terrible tail-lights too!

Manti.

From a critics point of view.......The headlamps are similar to the mondeo......The rear is similar to the Maybach......and the interior layout is similar to the 7 series. Also it seems like mercedes is putting an end to the 5 seater era and keeping just 4 seats which is seen in this car as well as the CLS, which isnt really a good idea in think.

I like it ! The only problem is the extra flared wheel arches, other than that its all good.

I love it!!! It looks aggressive.I agree with you guys about the Mondeo headlamps. But the flared wheel-arches look acceptable.Infact its a new trend brewing up,to give the car that masculine appeal.
I would rate it 7/10.

I would like to see it in the metal before passing judgement. The bangle 7 looks better in the metal than in pics
