The Alfa 147 debuted at the Paris Motor show. Frankly, the changes to the front and rear are too minimalistic and one needs to really look carefully to notice the changes. The engines: 3 petrol and 3 turbodiesel units.
2 1.6 twin spark with 105 & 120hp
2.0L 16valve twinspark with 150hp and 18.5Kgm torque

two 1.9 JTD with 100 & 115hp and the icing on the cake is the 1.9 JTD 16 valve - 150hp@4000rpm and 31kgs(305Nm)@2000rpm!! (imagine the PUSH u will get!!).
the car also gets what they call a Robotised gear box which is a further developement of the selespeed.

I was just wondering why Alfa is giving 3 petrol options in Diesel crazy Europe. As it is 8 out of 10 cars sold in Europe are diesels and with JTD who in his right mind would buy a petrol?
Maybe the petrols are for the yankees but from what i know Alfa Romeo goes to the North American car market (US and Canada) in 2007. Am i rite?
