Yeah, IMO Novo palio will replace existing Palio here in India. One of my friend has seen couple of these cars at Fiat plant, this was around 3-6 months back.

(Here are the leaked official drawings of the upcoming Fiat Palio. The drawings of body-panels clearly show the shape of the next generation 2012 Palio. The new Palio would be launched in Brazil in May 2011 and Argentina in January 2012, according to Noticias Automotivas. Fiat India could bring the 2012 Fiat Palio to India in the first quarter of 2012, perhaps at the Auto Expo.

The project is named 326 and Fiat could also use the same platform for a sedan model as well.
The 2012 Palio, according to the recent reports could be longer and wider than the existing model. Design cues could be sourced from big brother- the Punto. During the launch of new variants of Fiat Punto last month, representatives of Fiat have said that it would not develop a new platform for the small car and would use the Palio’s instead.

Sid... Atlast, back in action. The new Palio looks good, but unless Fiat gets their act together in India, they will never be able to succeed.

Will this actually be the 2012 Palio coming to India. The pics show the car being towed away. Already launched somewhere or is it a test vehicle that has broken down (ALREADY!!!)
I was enquiring for a Palio MJD last month end with Concorde motors, the lady who answered my call confirmed about new Palio coming to India in 2012. Earlier when I called up FIAT customer care number to check the availability of Palio MJD, they told me to speak with Concorde as they may have some stock still but the FIAT guy refused to give any details of new Palio.
The Palio has gotten more rotund. Those alloys look smashing! Also seems to have the new Fiat face. Looks promising but then again, Fiat has to get their house in order first and foremost.
whatever it is, do NOT launch it as the PALIO. It is a nice car, but the name carries the tag of being less fuel efficient; however it is far from being true.
