Normally after all this we pray for god's help, I would only say "HEY RAM" :) so to summarize what it isnt:
- 1921 Sheridan 841 Touring
- 1920s Studebaker - a Big 6
- Early Citroen
- Early Buick
- Early Delage
- A Dodge or Plymouth or De Soto
- A Packard Phaeton

I think the answer is hidden in your question itself..."A Very Interesting Car" :)

705 Hudson / Nash. If not please advice if it is a mainstream manifacturer or an obscre make like Hupmobile / Oakland

Sorry not even that.:)

@IndrojitSircar - I hope you are aware that the poster needs to identify the car if no one is able to identify it within the 48 hours of posting it(Rules in First post of this thread).

No sir not even that!

Hmm, seems like an interesting strategy. Take a generic-looking American model by a supposedly forgotten manufacturer from what appears to be the mid-20's, sit back and enjoy the amusingly clueless answers. Well, having gone through over a hundred defunct companies, I must say that one thing I've learned from the rather dreary search experience is that individuality seemed to be out of fashion amongst US automobile manufacturers of that era. Seriously, I could stare at a relative of the pictured vehicle and still wouldn't be able to discern the relation.

Apologies about double-posting but it appears that I've managed to identify the tricky ID:705. It's a 1924 Jewett Six Special Touring.

Spot on man!Well wasn't that easy to find out.By the way where did you find it from?

Done within the 48 hours time frame.:)

Oddly enough, I found it by searching for a 1924 Marmon, and the Remarkable Cars page hosting your clue picture popped up. The thing is, I had looked through a few Jewett models of that era before but nothing seemed relevant enough to warrant any consideration. Go figure. On top of that I remember thinking that 'Jewett' was a somewhat amusing name and that I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that you chose the car for that reason. I never pursued that direction any further though. To be honest, I almost expected it to be a 1924 Flint.

Just the same, it was a rather boring car to be looking for, I must say.

:) Well i think it was a good exercise to give such cars so that while looking for the car we learn about many others in the process.

True. I did save a lot of related pictures onto my HD in the process. For a 'rainy day', you know. I just hope that the rainy day never comes. :D

The trouble with that particular car (and, indeed, that particular era) is that a lot of models look dishearteningly similar to one another. They seem to share a variety of common elements such as grille shape, headlights, wheels and the overall, uhm, primitive geometry. I think you should give us something slightly more distinctive-looking next time. :)
