Naah they haven't toned down, actually I am quite surprised their antics are not as repetitive compared to any long running series. I was just watching Jeremy Clarkson's Duel halfway through it, you guys should take a look at that as well.

What a cracker of a season opener . The Romanian road was amazing and so were the cars . The jokes on the Dacia Sandero continue !

True this was really a cracker of an opening.
Hey but mine I got it downloaded at an average speed of 22kbits/sec.
No big deal .The computer continuously ran for almost 2 days and it was done.Advantages of unlimited download.

Wonderful episode & amazing video!

But I felt unfare to compare the S63 with 760Li. Being selected the top of the range Beemer, they should also have selected the flag ship Merc, i.e., S600 or S65. Since beemer don't have the tuned varient of 7 lets leave the S65. It's being the battle between the luxury sedan, power is not the only criteria to judge the car; 760Li may have an edge in power over S600. But if we have bought the S65, then it would have eaten up the 760Li.

But when it comes to other elements, I'm sure the S600 would have been the winner. Take for instance, the top trump game between May & Stigg, S600 has 4-zone a/c even from last gen iteslf, S600 have two LCD TV in the rear as standard and if the game would have continued, I'm sure the Merc would have won the trump with technologies like, Distronic radar cruice control, sleep attention warning, Cross-wind stabilisation, ABC, PreSafe, SplitView LCD, Panoramic roof, etc which 7-series don't have any comparable features in it. It's good for beemer that stigg got angry with May's game!

I wish to convey my opinion to TopGear as it's one show which used to do justice in such test!

i too found the verdict surprising as May always preffers the old over new, classic over contemporary, classy over funky, old school over new age.

cheers,

Saw the 1st episode this weekend, its on the usual lines & it was nice to see them back. The 3 car challenge was good & that road was truely amazing but I found it similar to the run they had done earlier. The Merc Vs BMW was Ok.

Nice to see Eric Bana.

I wish they feature the Kizashi in one of their episodes.

I hope it gets better with every week

After the high of the first episode, the 2nd one was a letdown. It's just funny. But nothing great. The only interesting car bit is the R8 V10 vs the corvette ZR1.

It's good, but nothing like the first episode.
