Parade of Ferraris

For all Ferrari fans:

Ferrari certainly does take the Middle-East market seriously.
Here is a video shot as part of a gala event at the Yas Hotel in Dubai hosted by Ferrari which included lengendary Ferrari race driver Michael Schumacher and current Ferrari Chairman Luca Di Montezemolo.

The video features nearly 100 Ferraris of varying models racing across the United Arab Emirates before pulling into the Yas Marina Circuit to watch a Formula One practice session for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which took place on Sunday November 1.

Leading the parade was Ferrari's latest release, the front mid-engined California.

The event was organized by Ferrari Middle East in parntership with the local Ferrari importer and the Emirates' Ferrari Owners' Club. In attendance were also Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen and Giancarlo Fisichella as well as the Italian Ambassador Claudio Doniosi.

The California looks unbelievably stupid. No more interesting than a humble Mazda, if I may. It must have been quite a phenomenal sight and sound, though.

All those Ferrari's must have been one hell of a sight to watch and hear.

This was a Ferarri Owners Club innitiative supported by the dealer and the principals.

There were around 80 cars that drove down from Dubai in a convoy and more joined them in Abu Dhabi.

The were alloted a special parking lot for themselves at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Yas Island. They were there to witness the first ever Abu Dhabi F1 race that took place last evening.

It was an awsome sight to see so many prancing horses together in one place.

will upload pictures shortly. They are very heavy as the camera used was hi res and it is a tiresome job to resize each picture to post here.

If you look close towards the end of that video you will see Ferrari World the only Ferrari Theme Park which is nearing completion on Yas Island.

Awesome pictures but I see more Californias there than any other Ferrari. Treat for the eyes though. I am sure to make it to the Abu Dhabi race next year. More than the race its the Ferrari theme park that is luring me there.

What, no 458s- the most beautiful Fezza in the lineup? I thought Schumi and LDM would've brought one along to please the shutter bugs.

Ya Dippy, you are true; inspight of having almost all the exotic models like the Enzo, F50, etc. why more California seen? Is it that they have not done a good PR job to invites the exotic owners?

The funny thing is that most people in that run seem to be from the Occident. There were barely any native folks in there.
