I don't know if this is reliable, but take a look at the video below. The Sonata seems so much stabler than the Accord, the latter rolls like a large drum on corners. both older 2007 models.

Is it just me or do you guys feel that the Sonata is doing the test at much slower speed than the other two cars.
Wow--looks too good to be true. BTW, what is that third car--SMS LE?
I think the video is genuine. A car that handles better feels slower as it's rear does not keep hanging out.
The Accord has never been a great handler, and it's key attributes were and are comfort, quality and reliability. It exceeds the Sonato on these even today.
Add german car - superb, Laura, VW Passat - any one and the test would look even funnier wrt to the accord and sonata both.
Nice....Here is the easiest way to do it. Just switch off ABS in the competitors' cars and you get this;)

In my opinion, its a Nissan. I could be wrong though. experts can correct me
Yes, the other car is a Nissan SM5. Its seemingly quite popular in Korea.

Brakes have nothing to do in this video. Its a handling test, ABS won`t come into picture.
And you usually cant switch off ABS in cars. You can switch off ESP. TC, etc...but I've never seen a button or a feature where you can switch off ABS.
And as Abbas said, brakes dont come into the picture in this particular video.
Edit: The Accord seems to be faster only because it is swaying wildly. They have shown a clip with all 3 cars side by side. In that clip, you can make out that all 3 cars are at the same speed.q

Yes its possible, but if you check the the place where the cars pass in between the cartons you cant help but notice that the Sonata is actually slower than the other 2 cars. Actually the sonata is driven oh so gently while the other two are thrown around violently. Again its a Korean review of a Korean Sonata so I doubt they will want to show their own car in bad light.

its produced by Renault-Samsung factory in Busan, South Korea
Its all about how you transfer the weight around, the Accord and the SM5 are being driven voilently with rapid steering movements, while the Sonata is being caressed around the obstacles.
You generally see such diff between a family sedan and a sprots car.

Lets not get to the basics of how ABS works. All I meant was there are many ways to make sure that one particular car win the test. Simplest would be to switch off all electronics stability/brake assist programs on competitors' cars.
Stupidest would be to use different driver inputs to stimulate a skid, as Shan2nu mentioned, which could be spotted by even a rookie.

:Frustrati TC would do?
Overall, for me this test is not conducted by a credible agency.

We too in India review the TATA and Mahindra vehicles but are never accused of being biased in their favour, Yep looks can be biased but handling abilities are very objective and the they have carried out multiple test, that we should see no reason to doubt. Has it been featured somewhere credible that the accord is a great handler (better than the sonata. Infact the accord not being great at handling has been mentioned on may of our threads by the owners/ driver themselves.

And exactly how do you switch of the ABS in an Accord?
Come on lets not be blue eyed about the honda, it was never a great handler.
Accord is not a great handler. But, for a family sedan it handles well. Altima is the one that beats Accord but then has other shortcomings compared to Accord.
