Turkish Super-Car 'Onuk Sazan' powered by 'Vette/GT-R Engine!

The Car: Onuk Sazan

From Where? Turkey

Why? Designed by Dr. Ekber Onuk in honor of his son, Kaan “Sazan” Onuk who passed away in a car accident in 1996.

More On The Car: It's a mid-engined Super car powered by the Corvette's LS7 Crate Engine that produces 512 hp and 645 Nm of torque. Power is sent to rear axle via five-speed manual transmission. Top speed is 300 km/h (186 mph).
An alternative to the Corvette’s LS7 is Nissan’s 3.5-liter V6 VQ35DE turbocharged engine producing 485 hp and 588 Nm of torque.
It weighs just 1,000 kg (2204 lbs) thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, Dr.Onuk wants to bring it down a bit more to 920 kg (2028 lbs).

And The Catch? Only five cars will be built a year with pricing around €200,000($288,000). Production will be done at Dr. Onuk’s high-speed boat producing company Yonca ONUK.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Opinion: Looks pretty nice. Looks like a McLaren F1, a Jaguar XJR-15 and a TVR got naughty one night and this is the result! The interior looks ghastly and unfinished! The engine and performance figures sound promising. Only time will tell!

Somehow I get an impression this car looks similar to most of the models. The back looks out of shape, I'm not sure if the corners on the back have some purpose to its design. the cabin from outside looks like that of a CCXR. A high speed boat manufacturer making a sports car that too from Turkey. Lets see how it does...

IMO the car does not look good and the interior is horrible. Though pics can be misleading but this car does not pull the same strings as some of the more famous cars in the same price band do.

I guess its a prototype and the interiors have not taken a shape yet. The seats look like some temporary fit...

Not again! I'm tired of seeing these supercar cocktails....can see cues from quite a few supercars from say 85-2010.
And doesn't seem to be the final product like some of you mentioned.

No offence meant to you though Suhaas.

None taken Jayabusa

And it is indeed a cocktail! I see a lot of Jaguar XJR-15 in it. The side profile from the front three-quarters is the best angle one can use to compare the two. The glass area, the wheels and even the crease and step on the side!

Original Jaguar design looks far more mature and its a timeless design. Sazan looks like another wannabe me-too garage built supercar with nothing original about its design.

You planning to put that in your Mazda?

Somehow looks unrefined for a car that costs more than a Ferrari or a vette or even the GTR. Whats the point here if you are not offering significantly more than just weight reduction?

Agree. Looks very crude from both inside and outside. The finish is like the kind you get from your roadside mechanic. But i am sure it will fly

And I just realized that the rear resembles Spyker's C8!

EDIT: Not entirely, but slightly!
