Yes the car has the same name as the founder of the company.

I still think that they sort of chose the wrong car to remember the founder.

There were rumours earlier that it would be called the F60. But I guess they choose Enzo because its the most advanced and expensive road going Ferrari ever...Also read that there will be a new version of the Enzo every 4 years..so we've had 2 new versions already...lets see what the third one would be like...

The new FXX is called the FXX Evolution. Came out this year. It is basically an updated FXX with an Evolution kit for the current FXX owners. So although it is not a completely new car, it is still classified as a new version by Ferrari.

This kit adjusts specifics to create more power, change gearing, and remove drag. The 6262 cc V12 engine pushes 848 hp at 9500 rpm instead of the 800.9 hp of the FXX. The shift times have reduced to 60 milliseconds per shift, a reduction of 20 milliseconds. Also as you can see from the pictures, there are a few cosmetic and aerodynamic changes. Note the white markings on the car.

About Schumacher's FXX, it differs from others in that it is the only black FXX without a stripe and comes with red trim on the wheels and matte exhaust tips (regular FXX's have chrome tips).

With 900 km and 8500 km respectively on the clock, the unique black FXX plus a Enzo is up for sale. Will be interesting to see who the prospective buyer will be.

I'm not a huge fan of people selling "gifts", but more than that, it's downright foolish to sell 'em now. The cars would've made an excellent asset for his family and some 50 years down the line it would've been worth zillions!

Oh! Its a shame! I don't mind him selling the Enzo but that FXX is really unique! And it is not just any car. It is maintained at Maranello and the owner gets exclusive access to the latest Ferrari R&D and are involved in the product pipeline. Is that the reason?

I don't think that's the case anymore, many FXXs are now being spotted with license plates (means modified for road use) and driven on public roads.
