Yes It does looks very very similar, but who is complaining as long as the price is right.

Looks more inspired by Toyota/Lexus ES styling.

The Rear end reminds me of the BMW 5 Gran Turismo. But the front end is quite good.

Will Hyundai launch these cars here at reasonable prices?

I dont find any difference except for a few subtle ones between the Sonota and the Elantra. Not that it's something to complain about.
Both cars look great and hope it has got the Crdi from the present Embera.
Hope it is also priced right like the earlier Elantra models.

Elantra or Accent(Verna)

I cant figure out whats going one here?
Theres a thread that calls the car in the picture the New Accent/Verna and this thread calls it the new Elantra. Whichever car it may be, i have to say its a real stunner and should finally give the Hondas and Toyotas a run for there money.

Great looking! I'm happy to see Hyundai maintaining a "family look" with the supposed new Elantra. It shows that the brand is coming of age.

The main grouse I had with the previous gen Elantra, and a possible reason for its failure, are the quirky looks. This upcoming gen, on the other hand, is a stunner! Good price + good diesel engine + quality interiors will give it a (worthy) second shot.

It's too big for an Accent / Verna.

The new Elantra looks terrific and quite subtle from the front. Whereas, the Sonata which is much wider in present shape seems radically changed from the front. I dont think i quite like it from front.Hope the rear looks better.

Are there any more snaps of both these cars from front and rear?

It's too big for an Accent / Verna.[well GTO I agree, but whats confusing is the fact that sidindica has put up a picture of the rear end of the car in the other thread and it reads..verna !]
