The Vancouver International Auto Show...

When a friend emailed me about the Vancouver International Auto Show a couple of days ago, I moved a few appointments here and there in order to attend the show on the last day. But when I heard about some of the exhibits at the show, I made sure that I was one of the first few people to enter BC Place on Easter Sunday. Here are some of the pictures that I took. Sit back and enjoy the show!

The star attraction: The Lamborghini Reventon (or as Clarkson would say it... the Rebenton) - For the few who might not know, only 20 cars will be made - with each costing a cool $1.5 million.

Car #3 of 20:

The second star attraction? The Mercedes Benz SLS AMG:

That "Carroll Shelby" signature sticker should be on every Shelby Mustang. Looks so cool. And the Reventon is mind bogglingly awesome. I envy you that you got to see it in the flesh. And also the SLS, and the SLR, and the Camaro. Damn, I envy you man *going green*
Nice pictures.

Do I see a white LP640 which has been ruined(painted headlight) in the SLR pic?

The guys at that particular booth were exhibiting their custom made alloys. They also deal with other after market performance products. So the Murcielago should be a tuner car. Here is an M3 and an X6 that was on display at the same booth.

Also attaching an Evo and a WRX from the same booth.

That's a great selection of cars at Vancouver and some neat pics. So, Lamborghini is selling only 20 Reventons? Uber-exclusive. And it even manages to make the Murcielago look almost bland in comparison.

I have never seen brakes fill up the wheels like in the SLS. It almost looks ugly.

What's with the Spyker's gear stick. Is it an automatic?

Awesome pics there, from Vancouver. The Astons and the Lambos look awesome. The black EvoX looks so menacing. Thanks for sharing theses awesome cars' pictures with us.

You should try checking out the the brake discs on the Bentley Continental GT Speed. They are the largest disc brakes ever fitted to any production car.
And no, the gearbox in the Spyker is a manual. It just shows the transmission linkage. Nice craftsmanship, I say!

Oh, so it's an H-pattern gearbox? It looks like it would be difficult to move the gear stick left to right. How do I go from 2nd to 4th?

The EVO X looks simply drool. The rims on the X6 , M3 and evo are stunning. I have never liked the looks of the X6 but those rims gives it a real character.
