What they really need to do is launch the same softroader with a diesel heart in India.
Now that will give the captiva,CRV's nightmares .
Brilliant looking car nevertheless.

if Mitsu does decide to bring this to India, it should cost roughly double of what it cost in dubai, i.e, 82000 x 12 (1 AED = 12 INR approx) x 2 = INR 19,68,000.
which just about puts it right in the Captive, CRV, Fortuner category. but i doubt they will cause:
a) they already have the Outlander, which itself is struggling for space against the CRV, Captiva, and more recently (and rather annoyingly for Mitsu) the Fortuner. so the last thing they need right now is more competition for it created by itself!!

b) 20 lakhs for a 1.6? you gotta be kiddin me rite? and even if they do bring it in with a bigger oil burning power plant, if you have seen the its pictures on the internet, you'd know that it really isnt a match in terms of space, compared to the competition.

but it sure is a looker! but God does that colour hurt my eye!! it would look a LOT better in the classic Mitsubishi Wine Red.
Cheers!!

But they're already offering the Outlander which is larger in size + power(2.4 liter) at 20 lakh INR, then why this?
Besides, the EVO avatar felt awesome on the Outlander, the New Lancer and of course, the EVO. Now it feels too cliched and a major turn off. Sadly, Mitsubishi(India) are associated with Hindustan Motors, who too haven't bothered changing the looks of their only product ever since it was launched!!
