Took Delivery of 2011 BMW X5 35D

After a long exhaustive research I booked the BMW X5 diesel last week and took the delivery yesterday. Initially I was inclined towards the new gas engine which has 300Hp and 300 lb ft of torque clubbed with a 8 speed ZF automatic transmission but the pickup of the diesel took me by surprise. The 35D engine has 265HP with twin turbo and has a torque of 425 lb ft. The mileage is 26 miles on highway but if you drive it on a cruise it gives upto 31. The drive is amazing as one expects from a BMW.

I had the following options:

Premium Package, Cold Weather, Rear Climate, Technology Package, Sports Activity Package with 20" wheels, Comfort Access Key, iPod/USB, Running Boards, Roof Rails, Sat Radio, 3rd row seating.

Here are few snaps from my cell, Photo shoot will follow with interiors.

Great choice mate. Congratulations on your new X5. It definitely is among the best SUV's available. Love the alloys, they give the X5 a whole new character.

Nice choice!
I had my eyes on an X3 some time ago, and didn't have a choice but to push things off until better times. The X5 is one sweet ride, and I'm sure you'll have miles and miles of comfortable and safe driving.
The vehicle comes with the standard 4 year cost free maintenance, right?

Thats right! Thats a great value and also comes with safety plan for free in case of accidents like On-Star in GM vehicles. I spent good amount of money on servicing previous Mercs. Atleast I done have to think about anything for next 4 yrs
Looking forward for those long drives.

Thanks Flyingspur: I'm not sure why they are looking ugly on X6, is it the Color or the X6 shape itself. One thing I noticed about the X6 after hearing from others is that "You will either like it or Hate it at the very first look"

Well, neither do I hate it, nor do I love it! Somehow, it's 'tolerable' IMO! I'd take the X5 any day though!
