2011 Aston Martin DB9

One of the most beautiful cars on the planet has just got refreshed.
Aston Martin has slightly updated the DB9 for 2011. The lower front grille has been reshaped and new mesh inserts have been added, while the rocker panel crease now sweeps up into the rear wheel arches.

Mechanically, the DB9's 6.0-liter V12 powertrain has been carried over, as has its 470 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The most significant upgrade for 2011 is the adoption of an adaptive damping system similar to the one already available on the DBS and Rapide. This improves the handling significantly.

Lovely. I'll take the hard top. The first time I saw a DB7 in the nineties, I thought it was the most beautiful car I'd seen. The pedigree of an Aston Martin is something else. I've never seen one in real life, yet.

The DB9 for me one of the most good looking cars. I even saw a Top gear race to Montecarlo in the DB9. Whether it got better in looks or not is a subjective question but it still remains that way for me.

Somehow, the lower grille doesn't seem to go very well with the rest of it IMO. I still prefer the older DB9's front end. Having said that, I adore the new wheels on offer! They look stunning and just perfect! So will there be a 2011-2012 DBS?

I hope they release another bond movie, 'gadgetizing' this beauty. I just love Aston Martin's.

Oh wow! The AM DB9 is a stunningly beautiful car. Drop dead gorgeous if I may say so. I love AMs...they are a class apart.

Cheers!

Back when I used to be in the UK, I had the pleasure of seeing many mercs,Beemers,Audis, Bentleys ,RR's . It was just once in 2 years that I happened to see an AM I dont know the model but it was dark grey in colour. AM's are one of the most exquisite cars created and this beauty is no exception.

IMHO there are very very few brands which scream class and are distinct, AM is one of them.

@suhaas, I agree with you on this. Just don't like the lower grille and feel it 'sticks out like a sore thumb' Wheels are a dream though. Was thinking of changing mine to this or perhaps the new DBS style rims. No one is selling them here so will have to try the US or UK markets. On the '12 DBS I believe they will release something. Asked the guys here and no joy...
