Automotive Scene in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Los Angeles

Here are some pictures from our current stay in Los Angeles, Some cars we rented and spotted, The Rolls and Bentley s are common sightings here and occasional Ferraris and Lambos, We are yet to spot any Bugatti. Not to mention that Porsches and Beamers are as common here as Three Wheelers Autos and Marutis back Home, Although there are much lesser Cayennes and G series Mercs and Range Rovers from the last time we were here in 2006, A sign that economy is taking its toll on everyone. If any Fellow members need specific pictures of any models I can look out for them , I am here for another month and more, Enjoy!

Absolutely agree avishar, yellow RR looks yuck.

Porches, Beemers, Audis & Mercs are so common here something like we see Indica in our roads back home.
have seen Lambos, Maseratis and Ferraris around the kodak theatre in hollywood.

OT: Where in LA are you? There are loads of car shows that happen around PM me in case you want any info

The Yellow RR belongs the famous fashion designer Bijan Pakzad (hence the plate BP111) and I guess you took a snap in front of his showroom on Rodio Drive. He also has a Red Bugatti Veyron. Try again at the same spot and you might find his Bugatti. I was lucky to spot it last month. His other cars are Mclaren, Bentley, Ferrari. Here's a snap I found online.

Re: I thought BP was Brad Pitt

I know its Funny Because there were some European Tourists waiting outside his Boutique, They thought BP was Brad Pitt and it was Brad Pitt's ride and he will come out any time. IF I am luck to see the Bugatti, I will surely post the pics here, and Yes the Acadia was our car for ten days we had rented it for a long road trip from LA to Seattle also got a speeding ticket on the way back

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche Carrera GT, I spotted this today, Some newbie came in to fill the fuel, I think he just bought it, Did not know how to open the fuel cap, I told him just press it and it will open. I think they brought it to deliver it here from some other state.

Nice pics,filmaka.

OT: IMO, its not an appropriate thing for anyone to touch a car, or for that matter place a water bottle on the hood of the car. You sure can pose next to it, but making it seem like your car might not work well with some car owners. I personally know of a person who was posing next to a Limo, and the limo driver was angered enough to smack the person so hard the latter got knocked out. It amounts to an unlawful action, and can be misconstrued as an attempt to steal the car.
Just my 2 cents. Please stand next to the car, but kindly avoid touching the car/ placing items on the same.

@Mayavi thats not a Ghost,thats a Drop Head Coupe.
@Filmaka you taught the guy how to open his fuel cap,you should have demanded to be given a ride on the GT
@Nitin Absolutely agree with you.Not to mention if inadvertently you cause damage to the car like smudge marks, setting of the alarm etc.

@filmaka Thanks for posting those pics. I wish we could see cars like that more often on our own roads. But I guess that's a pretty impossible dream.
The new Rolls look so boxy. I miss the elegant beauty of the older models. Bentleys are still gorgeous but look more at home in London than anywhere in the US. They're too stately.

My Bad, Lambo, Yamaha, X6

Yes Guys, I felt very guilty as well to put the bottle of water there, I will be more careful next time, Yesterday I was walking and this guy agreed to pop up the hood of the Lambo parked in his garage for me, And it was my bad that I did not have my camera, I tried my cell phone but the pics are blurred for the engine part, Next Thursday I will take my camera along and click more pictures, This guys has a normal garage and they do body work and the Lambos, Maserati and Ferrari are parked here for bumper work, Paint jobs and other, It is tough to see the beauties ripped apart, Also attached is a Yamaha 4 cylinder and 4 carbeurettors, I do not Remember, I think It may be 6 as well, I think it is from the 350 era, When we got 350's in India This must have been launched here. Its parked a few blocks away from our apartment everyday, If any member is interested I can go click more pictures with a camera and not my cell phone.

Re: Automotive Scene in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Los Angeles

Rodeo Drive, CA wont be as yellow as it used to be anymore.

Bijan Pazkad passes away leaving his very exotic, very yellow car collection behind. Also he died just two weeks before the unveiling of the Bugatti Veyron GrandSport Bijan Edition, which was apparently designed by/for him.
Bugatti's Design Director Achim Anscheidt shares his experience working with Bijan on the Veyron Bijan Project.

Bijan's personalised Veyron.

A lowdown on Bijan and his "Yellow" lifestyle
