Hamilton can be best on 6th place and if massa also joins him in that row, we might see first corner Safety car deployed.

That was well saidlol:

Again, Schumacher and Mercedes GP AMG are at their peak best. It can be ascertained that Schumacher will take pole tomorrow, even if he qualifies P1 or P2:)

Formula 1

Need to check about the RBR's Revised Exhaust set-up they are running in the Practice session.

What matters most is, their race pace, which has not been the Best so far. This season has been just fantastic with mixed results in the last 2 races, hope we see the end of RBR domination and a real fight for top slots this year.

As much as i would like to see the old schumi win, it is highly unlikey. Mercedes is very harsh on its tires and unless they have found a solution for that, it will reflect in the race pace(just like the previous two races). I would watch out for Jenson Button, with hamilton out of the way with that penalty, he has a real shot here.
I would love see what ferrari has brought in for Alonso. Lately all they have done is make excuses and under sell itself.

The surprise in FP1 and FP was the poor pace of the Lotus cars. Kamikaze Kobayashi seems to be a more consistent driver than the much hailed Sergio Perez. Nice to see both Force Indias in top 10.

That third sector with the long long straight and the unrestricted double DRS usage give the Mercedes a big shout for Pole. Michael' best chance for a Pole after the come back. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

But it will be a tough to maintain that speed on Sunday.

Lotus has excessive understeer maybe due to track being cooler than expected. But the long stints are good. Lewis is happy with the temperature while JB is not. RBR looks strong too.

FP3 headed by McLaren followeed by Mercedes. Saubers splitting Red Bulls. Maldonado was ahead of the Saubers. Lotus and Force India split 10th to 13th.
Qualifying should be interesting, with McLarens continuing their domination, followed by Mercedes.
The race will be a different animal.

Vettel does not make it through to Q3. For the first time since the 2009 Brazilian GP. while Webber went fastest.
Alonso just about made it in 10th.

Interesting Q3 lined up.

Mercedes and Sauber are super quick

Rosberg puts in a MASSIVE lap.
He does not even go for a seond run. Goes straight to the weigh bridge with a big smile on his face.

Grid penalty for Hamilton means Mercedes has blocked the front row and Kobayashi moves up to 3rd, what a moment for him and Sauber after finishing second in Malaysian GP.

Bad day for Force India, P15 and P16

At last Merc at front row! It took 2 years and 2 GPs to achieve it.clap:

Hats off Merc:thumbs up and best of luck for tomorrow's race.

Cheers!

After Hamilton's penalty
Rosberg P1
Schumy P2
Kobayashi P3
Raikkonnen P4
Button P5
Webber P6
Hamilton P7
Perez P8
Alonso P9
Grosjean P10
Vettel P 11
Massa P12

Difference between top ten was just 0.25 secs, and top 15 about 0.5 secs in Q2!

Race should be interesting.

What a fantastic Qualifyingclap:

The more i see RBR performance weaning off, the more i feel happy for F1 this season.

What a scorching lap from Roseberg, Very nice to see Hamilton taking care of his car after Q3.

Sauber's are surprisingly looking good as the top 10 team, which sadly Force India let go from what they were last year.

Just hope Mercedes AMG cars get a great start tomorrow:thumbs up

Good Job Mercedes & Nico! I hope they have a good race pace tomorrow :)

Its looks like a Mercedes' day. And I feel that the F-Duct system might have played a role too. Shumi already having the record of recording the fastest lap in Shanghai, he coming in the top 5 was almost expected.

Anyway, it looks like we are going to have enough fun watching the race tomorrow.

Best,
R-Six

Schumi still not faster than Rosberg. The fact proved this time when Nico finally nailed a lap. Schumi is definitely slower than Rosberg.

Tomorrow i feel the race pace may still be off for Mercedes. They have nailed Qualifying in this circuit but dont think they have the race pace.
