Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

Ah finally F1 weekend is here.
Hope to see the same level of drama and exciting racing that kept us entertained through the first half of the season.

Hope to see Kimi back on the top step sooner.

The race of the season.

Hopefully, the tyres will allow the drivers to push. Pirelli says Spa tyre selection should allow drivers to push - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

This would really give a very good idea regarding where Kimi will be for the next half of season. If he wins here, am putting my money on the Iceman for the title!

But just glad to have a race finally!

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

Its been a long break!
Big race this, given Monza is back to back and that it is also a low downforce circuit.
Teams will have similar levels of performance at both.

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

Its got to be the most boring break ever for me - don't remember such a long mid season break in F1 ever since I started following in 2001

I pray for rains every race just so that he has a fighting chance , else the performance cliff that the Mercedes team suffers with its worn out tyres is just not funny !

My money on Alonso for this race

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

This is my favourite circuit. Unfrtunately, I may be travelling on Sunday, so will watch the qualifying and set up the HD+ to record. Hope it does not rain or get too overcast to get a good signal.

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

Can't wait for FP1 to start. 5 weeks break is too long. But this is Spa, so the wait will be worth it. Hope to see Kimi fight for the win like he has always done here.

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

My bets are on Kimi. It's his race to lose unless Lotus fell behind in the development during the break (highly unlikely). Kimi's just magic round here. Too bad Schumi doesn't have the car or luck this season.

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

Heavy rains during practice today.

Kobayashi was the quickest in a very wet FP1 and the FP2 was a washout without any driver doing a competitive lap time.

Wonder what will be weather tomorrow and on Sunday.

Re: 2012 F1 - Belgian GP

With rain such as this on Sunday, there wont be a race! Too much standing water.
Much more sunshine is predicted for Sunday, hope they'r right.

A wet race though will keep us guessing for Monza!
