Let me try to do what Pavan has been doing successfully for a long time :D

Race No.6 on the 2013 calendar and one of the most dangerous circuits to race in the F1 calendar. Usually famous all the glamour and gala around the circuit more than racing ;)

Famous events that happened in Monaco in the past years!

My favorite race in a Formula 1 calender year is here. This amazing racetrack lining Monte Carlo has produced some brilliant races in the past. Mark Webber has done it before so he looks to be the strong favorite unless, Vettel plans to spoil the party. It is going to be another feast on an epic day for sports - 26th May 2013. UEFA Champions League Final, IPL T20 Final and of course the Grand Prix De Monaco - all in a single day!

Gearing up for the most exciting Quali of the season!
During the race I hope the cameras show more onboard/corner cam footage. Thats the true beauty of Monaco.

I still watch Trulli's 2004 onboard pole lap of 1.13.985 many times over and it gives flat out a new meaning. Was half a second faster than Shumi!

20% chance of rain for Saturday! Bring it!

Yup, quali is much more fun in Monaco GP. Most of the race will be boring. Lets hope for some miracle to happen. I am rooting for KIMI and I really hope he wins.

Hi All,

Going slightly off-tangent here, but what is the best site to stream the grand prix live in HD? I've been using proxies to access BBC iPlayer and Sky Go player. But the streaming speed is extremely slow, to say the least. All the other options that have come up on google are poor, quality wise. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Arun

Thanks anachronix.
Monaco for me has been a bag of mixed emotions for me ever since I started watching F1. On the one had the glamour, women, wealth. The race track oozes of it. However! the racing it self is so boring. Qualifying is king and It is usually a pole to flag victory. Monaco track I only look forward to have a look at how the rookies perform. A good performance at Monaco truly shows a drivers worth. Will be keeping an eye on Bottas and Bianchi especially.
For this race I'm banking on one of the Mercedes to get pole and possibly a podium finish. Others in contention are Ferrari and RBR for the podium finishes. FI unknown quantity but should perform well, Sauber as well. Williams may finally get into the points this time around.

you can try vipbox.tv. It worked for me most of the times. Let me know if it serves the purpose.

Well started, :thumbs up Thanks a lot for starting the thread, i will be travelling out of town again this week and will not be able to do justice to the thread. Also hopeful to catch up atleast on live streaming.

One of the most toughest tracks on the calendar, driving on the Monaco GP track must be really difficult. I can't even drive it in F1 2012 without crashing stupid:
Another reason why I love this race is because the actions starts a day early, Thursday :p

Fernando's helmet for Monaco!

One circuit where all I want to watch is the on-board camera lap after lap.

Mercedes really in a big shout to claim a 1-2 here. They came very close to a win last time with Michael being fastest on Saturday, but for that penalty!

Ferrari is long overdue with a win at the principality. Alonso almost pulled it off it 2011 but for the red flag!

Can't wait for the FP1 which will start in a few hours! clap:clap:

FP1 Result:
1 N Rosberg (GER)
2 F Alonso (ESP)
3 R Grosjean (FRA)
4 F Massa (BRA)
5 LC Hamilton (GBR)
6 P Maldonado (VEN)
7 M Webber (AUS)
8 J Button (GBR)
9 S Perez (MEX)
10 S Vettel (GER)
11 KM Räikkönen (FIN)
12 P di Resta (GBR)
13 A Sutil (GER)
14 N Hülkenberg (GER)
15 JE Vergne (FRA)
16 E Gutiérrez (MEX)
17 V Bottas (FIN)
18 D Ricciardo (AUS)
19 G van der Garde (NED)
20 C Pic (FRA)
21 J Bianchi (FRA)
22 M Chilton (GBR)

Mercedes looking good for yet another pole position. Lets see how FP2 goes.

Mercedes is a good car for one lap and thats what they have demostrated this year. As overtaking is almost Non existance at Monaco, so this track will favour the Merc if they qualify at the top. The Only other issue could be the tyres.

Here's a pic of Hamilton' helmet for Monaco.

Nicole, Hamilton and Rosco (his dog)

Mercedes looking strong for one lap pace, but Lotus and Ferrari better in the longer runs. Red Bull seem to be somewhere in the middle strangely, will be interesting to see what happens in the race.
