2013 F1 - Japanese Grand Prix @ Suzuka

Missed the last race entirely due to Huge queue at my Restoration shop, no worries. Vettel seems to be in his PEAK and might look at sealing off the WDC in a couple of races to come.

Looks like, it will be a fight between Redbull and Mercs for the pole. Vettel got issues with KERS battery, could this spice up things a bit, I certainly hope so. Interesting qualification ahead.

The first time ever this part of the season I saw Vettel go off track into a slide... right after Rocky comes on the radio and tells him the KERS is not working

YES! Finger boy is not on pole!

Webber did a great job today, finally able to nail a lap on the option tires in Quali, he always seemed much stronger on the Primes.

Hopefully, we have an exciting race tomorrow!

Re: 2013 F1 - Japanese Grand Prix @ Suzuka

Nice qualifying, Inspite of No KERS, Vettel is in P2. Knowing well Weber is a slow starter, we can expect Vettel to maintain the lead throughout the race tomorrow.

Hulkenberg is growing stronger each race, Also Grosjean and Massa out-qualify their seniors... LOL

No, Vettel's KERS was OK for the second run, but he had a huge front left lockup

Cheers!

Re: 2013 F1 - Japanese Grand Prix @ Suzuka

Hope webber wins tomorrow and little boy comes second. Ferrari's are out paced on this track, Alonso and Kimi share the same row, next year team mates side by side, interesting to see who will get the best start between both of them, after the five lights go out

Sutil has 5-place penalty for a gearbox change and will start 15th. Hope Force India gets some points and all eyes will be on Paul if can manage to get some points or finish the race without any incidents to keep his seat for 2014.

This time it is Mark Webber, and not Vettel, who had helped Renault overpower Ferrari in the 'most poles from an F1 engine manufacturer' stakes. Webber's twelfth pole was Renault's 209th, putting the French engine manufacturer ahead of Ferrari 208, Ford-Cosworth 139, and Mercedes 99. It's good to see that someone other than Seb was making history for a change though it is nothing much from a drivers perspective.

Amazing, we guys at T-BHP know more about the technical issues, than the people who run the F1 team.

Yet another let down by Foxsports Asia. Today's race is not telecasted in ESPN HD and all Formula one race fans should be satisfied with Starsports 2 SD.

Apparently sky is also covering the event along with BBC. Martin brundle commentary makes it awesome.

Re: 2013 F1 - Japanese Grand Prix @ Suzuka

5th race in a row and on a 2 stop strategy, Vettel, the Finger boy cruises to Victory,

Webber did well for is P2 and what a nice race from Romain Grosjean. Hulkenberg did well for his P6. Mercedes GP a big shame, its quite evident they still are the same when Schumacher arrived and when he left them.

Re: 2013 F1 - Japanese Grand Prix @ Suzuka

Pretty awesome race!

Lot of action through the field, if not at the front. Grosjean made an epic getaway, almost Ferrari-esque. Sad for Hamilton, it was the smallest of touches which punctured his tire.

Grosjean drove really well, has been driving much better compared to last year. I think he will be a good 1st driver now that Kimi is leaving Lotus.

Hulkenberg putting another awesome race, his resume just getting better and better. Hopefully Lotus take him in for next year!

Next up, our home race!

Romain drove a good race. I think he has really matured. Tire strategy helped vettel to win the race. Hulknenberg also receives a mention. Sutil seems to be going backwards.
