Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

I hope Vale can add to his titles in 2014. I don't know the details, and this is purely a personal preference.

Good to see #46 strong in Qatar!

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

It was a piece of cake for Marquez! He just rules Austin. Last year, the biggest difference in terms of points between MM and JL at any point during season was 43. Its already 44 after 2 races.
It was mother of all jump starts from Lorenzo. Super duper jump start. Disappointing race for Rossi. Dovi made it to podium after long, Ducati had good pace. But Cal had a bad accident.

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

Marquez makes it three in a row. Outqulifies Lorenzo by .75 seconds. He's altogether in a different league. If Lorenzo doesn't mess up with the start, we might have a good race tomorrow.

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

Three wins in a row, clearly this man is on fire. Yamaha's need to do a bit of catching. Despite a great start, they ended up 3,4. The Honda duo take the top two spots.

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

Saw the first race of the season on Sunday. Marquez was on a different planet altogether. Even Dani was putting very fast laps towards the end.

And Jorge didn't even try to go after the Honda riders after the overtakes. Is the Honda machine that strong this year?

Lorenzo and Marquez will be starting their two hundredth and 100th gran prix race respectively.
Three Spanish riders will be battling it tomorrow.

I watched the Argentinian GP last week and had the same feeling, Honda seems to be very strong, they look very smooth on braking where Yamaha seem to struggle, Rossi went off the track two times in the first few laps.

As usual Lorenzo got a good start and was managing race pace quite well but once Marquez and Dani overtook him they could not be caught he was not quick and don't think he has a bike to fight with Honda this season yet.

Yamaha is too slow on the corners and braking both riders struggled.

Nice to see Dani finishing in Podium in all the races this season.

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

Last part of today's race was damn good. Pedrosa almost managed to overtake Rossi!

And looks like the Marquez magic is here to stay for quite some time. What a kid!

100th race. 100 points in 4 races. First race win at Jerez. It's been his day all the way. Once he passed Rossi there was no looking back. He looks so so dominant.
Very happy for Rossi.

Rossi made a very wise decision by leaving Ducati and coming back to Yamaha. For whatever reasons, Ducati is just not able to reach the level of Honda or Yamaha in producing MotoGP bikes.

The Desmosedici under Stoner was a very capable machine! I just can't get enough of these opposite locks.

Stoner's made of completely different material. Unfortunate he didn't continue longer.

But somehow, in the recent past no one has had any proper success on the Ducati. May be after getting used to Japanese perfection, they are finding it difficult.

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

What a race it was today!

Oh boy! My heart was pounding like I'd just run 2 miles without taking a breath! :O

Hats off to both, Lorenzo and Marquez. What a rider Marquez is turning out to be. Put under tremendous pressure from Lorenzo through the last 4-5 laps of the race and boy, did he soak it in like a sponge!

Marquez makes it 6 out of 6. What a season he's having.

Nice to see #46 make his way up from 10th to 3rd in his home race.

All in all, made a lazy Sunday absolutely breathtaking!

OT: I don't remember the last time F1 was this tight amongst the leaders!

Indeed a breathtaking race. Rossi was like that in his prime days. But, i loved his spirit and natural phenomena of climbing up the ranks to take a podium finish

Marquez is turning out to be like Sebastian Vettel, Roger Federer and Michael Schumacher in their hey days.

Nothing but, 1st position works for them

Re: The 2014 MotoGP Season

No just the lead battle, the fight for 4th spot too was very interesting with the places getting swapped until the last lap. It was Rossi who had a lone race for the 2nd half of the race after the very good overtaking to get into 3rd spot. At the front, Lorenzo and Marquez battle was epic. After all that fight on the track, it was nice to see both smiling and shaking hands, good spirit in all. It would have been fantastic to have a 3 way battle between Rossi, Lorenzo and Marquez

Motogp 2 race too was good, with Robert fighting back after not so great start. Watching these races on a lazy Sunday afternoon was well worth it.
