Hi RK,

Can you please let us know if the pics you have put in with Post # 18 is from some agency ?

I had posted some pics fro you post with due credit to TBHP and you in a FB page where there are a lot of common friends of CSS and I was being politely reminded to give credit to the source agency. Hence, the question

Hope you are having a great time

Sir, I'm using the pics from Santosh's FB page. I don't know who the image credit belongs to :-(

In an awesome stage 4, Santosh does the magic again with his throttle and takes 58th place in stage 4. This also puts him back to the 50th place in overall ratings. He is not giving a clue that he is a first timer and he has not made any mistake. Kudos to his commitment and passion.

To be honest, I was just thinking Santosh to complete the rally and bring us the memories with a top 100 finish. No, my guess was wrong. After watching him ride in the 4 stages, now I am confident that he will make a strong mark in the world's toughest rally. May be a victory too. Without a factory support our boy has gone there and he is giving his best and he is exceeding the expectations.

My friends from India ridding with the Dakar Chase Tour Group caught up with CSS at the immigration point to Chilie, yesterday.

There were some unusual rains and he was soaking wet and had to spend a while in the medic van thawing out. He did not have a rain cover at that point of time with him and I believe, my friends managed to source one for him and sat with him at the medic van, pepping him up with some desi banter.

May be it worked in helping him finish stronger.

Hope things go well for him and first 50 finish will do wonders for him (out of 168 or so)

Thanks RK for the update

Best Regards & Ride Safe

Santosh running at 53 overall at the end of stage 6 :thumbs up

End of 6th Stage and going in to the mid-event break CSS has not been too good it looks like. He is 64th overall end of 6th stage. Good thing is that he is hanging in there.

Reason acn be seen in the picture below which was yesterday with my friend Farooq, who is following the Rally, when he visited the biouvac (base camp)

C S Santosh is the first Indian to participate in Dakar Rally-css-dakar.jpg

My friends are telling me that he is ridding prety smoothly on sectirs they could watch him go by

Thanks for updating this thread and keeping it alive killjoy. It is awesome to see CS Santosh still riding inspite of a fractured toe. He is on pain medication and the Indian lad isn't giving up while steadily climbing up his rankings. Some people might think Santosh has still not broken into the top 20 riders, but gentlemen this is Dakar Rally and anything can happen. Hang in there Santosh we are all praying for you. You make us Proud. :thumbs up

Looks like TVS racing may miss out on their top 10 finish -

Teammates helping each other

Update from my day. Terrible day for TVS with Alain had a engine failure and the other rider towing rider 1 back.

Santosh is riding with more than 2 days of pain.

Go TVS and Santosh. You guys have all our prayers!

Maddy

Santosh continues to maintain 42nd at the end of stage 9

Santosh up to 38th overall at the end of stage 10!
