Sebastian Loeb wins in Deutschland.

Sebastian Loeb did it again in Germany, wining in comprehensive style and now pulling away from Gronholm on the points table. Is Loeb gonna go unchallenged till the end of the season? or will Marcus try to close the gap in his home rally, next in Finland ?

the crucial point form him to pull away from marcus was the tyre choice he made he got it spot on or else marcus would have given him a fight considering loeb is a tarmac specalist but marcus is also a fast on tarmac the only problem is they had not tested on wet conditions before the rallye...but in finland it will marcus because he knows the stages verry well as like loeb in germany he is the winner in finland for five years and car that he is in even miko hirvonen he too has a good chance to win but dont take anything away from loeb and also petter solberg both of them will give marcus n miko a fight man i cant wait for rallye finland!!!!!!!!

Thanked: Once

Loeb was 2min 19 secs up on Gronholm, and Solberg had engine problems as usual.

Chetan you are right...the difference in tyre choices were what made the difference, particualrly when Gronholm sent his car's rear into a fence...

I put my money on Gronholm for Finland though, considering his record there...but Loeb won't let it be that easy eh?

Loeb's victory, his fifth in succession on this event, dating back to his maiden WRC win in 2002, is the first time a driver has ever managed to win an event five years on the trot in the WRC. It was also his sixth of the season and allowed him to increase his advantage over Marcus Gronholm in the battle for the 2006 drivers' championship. Also, he has drawn level with Carlos Sainz for most number of WRC victories, both with 26 winds...

Way to go dude...
